As the new year is rolling in I am preparing for my next Ace grow. This grow will feature newer items in the ACE catalogue and a self made cross from ace gear. Thai Chang Mai x Malawi, Green Haze x Honduras, Panama Haze, and Golden Tiger (Koh Chang/Hmong x New/Old killer).

Last year during some exploration of the original GT f1 swan-song re-release, I selected a GT male for some pollen chucking. I dusted a few plants: Panama, Mr Nice's La Niña, juicy fruit lotus, blueberry, various GT selections, and the most exciting to me, haze leaning Skunk Haze from Mr Nice. I'll be growing out a few plants to peek into this sk haze x GT genetic pool.

In this grow I hope to find another ace keeper mom (or two if I'm lucky!) But mostly I'm just prospecting to look at the gene pools with my own eyes. I'd like to further explore all ace gene pools, but this little grow will help point me in a direction of sorts. I have two stellar moms in my stable at the moment, Panama x Malawi & SSSDH, i'd like to breed these to some f13 pollen. I would love to find another mother of their caliber with which to breed him to.

I will have some other haze varieties growing along side these in the tent, but they will be documented in my other grow log. Pics of the younglings soon to follow.

Happy New Year ACE community. I feel truly blessed to learn from and watch such an excellent group of growers.:huggg:

The seeds (below) seem to have a tinge of orange in them, unique to my eye. Dubi and the ACE team are truly generous with their time, resources, and wares. My undying gratitude to them. I hope 2018 brings many blessings to Dubi & his crew.

Thank you for the kind words buddler! Thanks for hangin' out

The big girls were getting rather upset in their rootbound redsolo cups. Lots of yellow on new growth, they were drying the cups very quickly. So they were transplanted to 1gal fabric pots and moved to the 11/13 flower room! They were 10" and 12" at the time and were each topped once. They will have to be bent, twisted and tied, im sure. They're much happier & greening back up. I'll have picks in a day or two when they're pretty again!

I just need the last 3x f13 to finish this week to put the skhzxgt in there next!:woohoo:.

Have a good week out there!

I have a hard time trusting others with things, trusting someone with my girls.... haha I'd be a wreck. I love the vigor and yield of coco grows. Kinda cozy with soil now, the terps and quality are so good with so much less effort than hydro/coco. That's me though, I don't have to grow weight right now at all. Blessed to work outside this business to make a living and still grow my favorite vegetable, Maryjayne.

Flower room all haze, all the time!!!

Flower room all haze, all the time!!!

Harvested last of f13 throwbacks, got some interesting phenos! Best of which are the 50% blueberry 50%f13 pheno, green... but that's more for my other thread.

Minus the SSSDH that needs another week, flower room is all the new haze crosses & GT!!:dance013:Im still battling borg, predatory mites were not effective after 3 waves... trying 50/50 water & isopropyl spray in 72hour cycles for about two weeks. That means I'm pulling every plant and spraying leaves and tent every 3days. In the veg/mom tent the predatory mites were super effective.

The green Hz x Honduras are so much happier, new pots with space for roots, these are returning to a nice green. The skhz x gt are dark and looking nice.

Hey, Ncali, good to see you up and running! And nice to see a tent that will be more overgrown than mine;) Your Pan Haze is a little less hazy than mine, or conditions are making it tighter, very nice. We look to be at the same moment in flower, good to have yours to compare to, make sure I don't go off the rails. How's the borg?

I think you are a little ahead of me, but nice to be so close. I really enjoyed growing Panama & the hybrids, Panama really is special. I wouldnt have minded a more hazey version, but the Panama leaner could be real nice. I have more beans to dig through so no worries! I hope she turns out nice. I've been keeping a keen eye on your lush garden, we can swap notes on the pan hazes!

You are correct with your sharp sharp eye. That dirty girl in the back left is a spidermite magnet, it's my sssdh. She was just chopped down. I've been attempting (successful so far) to eradicate the little pests using a spray with 60% Isopropyl alcohol 40% water and a drop of soap, it's been effective at killing them thus far. I've been spraying the underside of leaves every few days. This has been more effective than my previous purchases of predatory mites, but those guys worked magic in my veg tent. I wanted to try this method before purchasing a 90$ USD bottle of avid. That stuff is bad for more than just my check book, yuck. I think we're ok, the new growth shows no mite damage yet, and no signs of the little buggers during my inspections. l will keep the treatment going so as not to miss any hatches of eggs, I don't want them getting settled in again hah. Veg room has been clean and clear for about a month.

A word of caution with anyone using any aerosol agent that can be toxic, use protection of eyes and your respiratory tract, I got a good few huffs of that solution on accident this weekend... not good. Ventilation is so important, not just for your(my) lungs but my brain was a little... drunk for a while, yah. Not good

I'll post some more pics up tonight of the harem.

Be well fellas.

Two of the skhz x gt are boys, so they got culled. Leaves one female, put a GT clone into the tent in their place, RIP!

The little Chang Mai twins are chugging along and will join the tent in a week or two. The GT clone I put in was f1 gen very Thai pheno, so I will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen of golden tiger flowering simultaneously very shortly .

Makes me happy.

Hi NCali,

Wish you are also having a great start of 2018! :)

Thank you very much for starting the year with a grow diary with some of our sativa genetics, much appreciated. Wish you find more remarkable mothers to keep for future grows and for further breeding, like the Panama x Malawi mother you keep and that you like so much, or like the Golden Tiger Thai pheno you found from the original F1 release.

I think you are the first person to start a grow diary about the new third Golden Tiger regular version (Thai Chiang Mai x 3rd generation Malawi male) that we have produced in 2017. Really excited to see its outcome under your good cares. I think you are going to enjoy a lot growing the 3 different GT version together :D

The Panama Haze looks like is showing wider leaf and is reacting quite fast in flowering so seems to be a Panama leaning pheno.

The Skunk Haze x Golden Tiger should produce very strong, vigorous and high yielding sativa dominant plants. I also like the effects and aromas of some skunk haze phenos, well done! ;)

Wow! Your F13 mother looks supreme :yummy: If she tastes and hits as good as she looks then i will definately consider to introduce her in some breeding projects!

Best wishes! dubi
