OK so I had a build thread, I got everything tied up from the build. So I am starting a grow diary.
Here are the specs: 4k hps eye horticulture bulbs.
4 1000 watt nanolux ballast.
10 vortex blower connected to a 5 ft can filter for exhaust.
2 10in x 4in passive intake
2 16 in wall fans
Temps have been too cold 66 at night/ 75 day time. Added the 4th light should bump it up some
4 shelves on each wall total 125 plants
Plants have been vegging for 2 weeks.
Strain is Bodhis black triangle.
Using 2 gallon root pots about 2/3 full of canna coco
Using canna coco nutes a&bit, also Pk 13/14
Going to start flower any day.

I guess I am going to have to buy a couple mogul sockets. I have tried everything short of a cutting torch to cut the plexiglass off the cooltubes. I know they steal lumens, probably get them this weekend when I get paid. I know this is a little bit of a ghetto grow, but that's how I roll. I have about 6 grand in to this build ready to get flowering, so I can recoup that cash. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I am definitely thankful this build is up and rolling. :smokeit::woohoo:

I really like the tape job on that fan/filter:laughing: Regarding your temps. Maybe only use one intake? Or put a couple adaptors on one and reduce it down to 6"?

I grow in a shed, and have experienced the same problems as you are having. I had two 6" intakes. Ended up closing one right off completely . Then the other I put plastic over and cut a 4" hole in it.

I even had a wye right before the exhaust out of the shed. One side went outside, and the other side of the wye was covered with plastic. Cut a small 2" hole in that plastic. Then some of the warm air from the light was going back into the room.

Doing those things allowed me to keep my room in proper temps, all thru winter. No heater in the shed either. Just heat from lights, and heat from the propane burning CO2 genny I have(on for 15 mins per hour). Temps never dropped below 70, even during lights out. We get cold winters too. Not uncommon to see -20f for a month at a time.


EDIT: cut the plexi-glass off the cooltube with a hacksaw, or take the bulb out and take the whole thing apart. That's what I would do. Even ig you have to cut the cord at first to get it out. They are super easy to put back together.

Hey double thanks for stopping by. Yeah we never get that cold. I added the 4th light last night should keep the Temps higher. I have tried everything to cut that stupid plexiglass. Sawzall jigsaw Hacksaw nothing will even scratch it. I am going to get a couple mogul sockets this weekend, sucks I am a super cheap skate. I hate spending money. As for the tape. I am a plasterer by trade so I get it for "free". I do get a little tape happy. Tried to get a little kinky with the wife and the red tape, wife wasn't having it lol

Nothing wrong with a fresh start. I ran some seeds last year to find a keeper. So this is a fresh start you could say first time from clone. What strain/ strains are you running?

In order to stay legal in my small plant count medical state I can only flower 4 plants at a time. So far I've got four Sunshine Daydream and two Elmer's Glue going. I have a thing for SSDD. I ran the cut I found below almost exclusively for nearly three years.

I probably need to start a couple of filler/backup plants from some Female Seeds freebies I have laying around because one one of the Elmer's Glue plants seems runty. I'm leaning towards a WWxBB and a C99 because they are both good yielders.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Black Triangles, I have pack of those in the fridge.

Have you tried a tile saw blade for a grinder to cut the plexiglass. They have dimond dust on them and should cut through.

I was so impressed with the black triangle, last run out of 6 females 5 were uniform one was a runt. With a 2 week cure the fuel was off the charts.
