COCO EC GUIDE / COCO FOR DUMMIES

Hey guys! Id like to show you how i grow on coco.
Ive you like to use this system you have to look that the drainage is arround 20%. Plants who are fresh in the cocopot give for a week only every 2-3 days water for 1 week, so they root faster. This is for use with canna coco, it's a dossage from a other forum member of an other forum, i have grown many times with this dossage and it works realy good. You have to look ive the plant use more or less, but you can't make nothing wrong with it. In the half of the flowering time you have to watering the pot with ph 5.8 and nothing of nutrient, so the "Old" nutrient goes out of the system and you can use a high ec level with out make "truble" for the plants.

Sorry for my english:tiphat:

So here is the dossage for 600watt lampS with sativa or mostly sativas

VEGETATION

Fresh cubes who came in the system the first watter has do have
EC 0.9 PH 5.8-6.2
The SECOND WATER EC 1.1 PH 5.8-6.2
AT THE THIRD ALWAYS EC 1.3 PH 5.8-6.2

FLOWERING

NEED ALWAYS AN PH OF 5.8 TO 6.2 ive it is nothing other written

The first two FloweringWeek ec 1,5 canna coco a+b
Fweek 3 - EC 1,6 + 5ml PK 13/14
Fweek 4 - EC 1,5 + 10ml PK13/14
Fweek 5 - EC 1,5 + 15ml PK13/14
Fweek 6 - EC 1,4 + 10ml PK13/14
Fweek 7 - EC 1,4 + 8ml PK13/14
Fweek 8 - EC 1,35 + 7,5 ml PK13/14
Fweek 9 - EC 1,3 + 5ml PK13 /14
Fweek 10 no EC, only the EC of the watter - PH 5,6
Fweek 11 no EC, only the EC of the watter - PH 5,6

This guide is only for legal uses. warranty excluded, it is my way to grow, try at your own risk ive it doesnt work for you i am sorry. Don't forgett it is for sativa or mostly sativas.

Hope you like it guys!
Best wishes:biggrin:

Reccommended EC's look fine, I would advise not to use PK 13/14 for that many weeks, I only use pk for 5-7 days and that is it. You risk burning your plants if you run PK for many weeks straight..but if OP has done this before then apparently it is alright...but I wouldn't reccommend doing it as your plants can only benefit from the PK at a specific stage. runoff to 20% is a must unless you have a product called drip clean, if you don't water till 20% runoff, salts from the nutrients you are putting in will start to build up and raise the EC of your medium, definitely try and avoid these buildups as I have experienced two of them, In veg only, but it took the plants a bit to straighten out from it.

Can you elaborate on watering the first few days? I am in canna as well and have tried the "water a little" at the start but have always ended up just watering to runoff to avoid salt build up...do you only water just a splash to get those roots to stretch?

There's a coco subforum ;)

Exactly, I don't consider coco to be hydroponic for what its worth you soil growers! If you do then have to include promix and all peat moss soil amendments as well and thats not gonna happen.

just because you try to drip on soil doesnt make it hydro you soil peoples.

for those who keep telling me coco is inert, btw that has nothing to do with hydroponics applications far from true hydro.

Coco is not hydroton, nft, dwc, or even rockwool substrate.

Just because abunch of you choose coco mats to run under your rockwool that doesnt mean you are gonna use pure coco and run a recirculating drip or ebb system etc with it.

CoCo, Peat moss, perlite, vermiculite etc are soil ammendments and make up roughly %80 of your soils so dont come in here telling me I am wrong.
