ic mag 420 cup 2015 Results

a big congrats to all the winners, real nice quality level over all. thanks to all the entrants, you guys make it all possible.
this year a special thanks have to go to oldpink and his sons and company, they were a real help prepping things.
i also want to mention Moppel who did all the leg work to get the news out there about the new coffee shop hybrids category we started this year. he was the one running after the coffee shop owners to get the involved.
we wouldn't have the cups with out STRANvasker and Baddabing glass werks which continue to sponsor the trophies by giving us a great deal. G74 also deserves recognition for his artistic involvement. same with Payaso who made us a great design for the Laminates.
we shouldn't forget the GH and the Prix who once again made us feel welcome and offered us space to have our sessions.
further thanks go to zamzia and jamie shoes who both helped out too.

as usual mellofellow made us a deal on the glass spoons, tea_is_back was also handing out some mini spoons in glass, alas those were kinda first come first served so not everyone might have gotten that one, tea_is_back, also kindly provided papers and clipper lighters and some glass spoons too. the greenhouse also provided a load of their lighters for distributing, then of course we had Hortilab sponsoring grinders and lighters too.

So I did Rosin all the hash entries, worked great!!
067 was my top entry also, it made great Rosin!!!!
I will link it to some photos, before and after, and the Rosin from each one.
The buds being made into Rosin did not work as well, many gave little to nothing some did.
I guess it is all variety dependent? Anyone else try and Rosin any bud samples? I still have some to try, that is why I did the hash first.... They all worked fine....Some great.
And the quality of the hash this year was quite good, last year I was disappointed, not a single one I really enjoyed and wanted to finish off, this year is much better, I could smoke them all and wanted to. Great to see the improvements.

Sam I wasn't at the cup but I have made rosin with gorilla glue#4 and it worked great! U have to have like 400* temps and u have to press it really hard for a few seconds and always do a second pull on the buds.
Congratulations to all participants, but most of all to the Private entries, soundly beating the Professionals and also the best stash the coffeeshops could muster as promotional entries. Like the HTCC stock, you rarely see bud that good on the day to day menu.

I also tried to rosin a good few samples, also another member.
The rosin tech is only good with some strains, same with all extractions when it comes to yield.
The low returns with some made it hard to judge correctly, temp adjustment id say is the key, along with the strain.

after meeting sat early evening I got home and within an hour had a bastard bout of food poisoning that went through sunday as well,,so missed the evening meets,,,,

Big thanx to the IC Mag organization. BIG UP Gaius, assistance and crew. The real true 420 Cup !! Thanx to the Prix, wonderful venue. Can't wait till the next IC Mag Cup.
