The all things Bio Bucket thread.

Hey all,

I wanted to start an all bio bucket thread for awhile, it seems to me like there is a huge void around BB's since Big Toke hasnt posted in something like 2 years. Also the BB system is scattered throughout Indoor Hydro forums and its just a pain in the ass to collect it all. So here we are, my goal is to unite BB users under one umbrella. Im not trying to step into big tokes shoes, only trying to pick up where he left off.

Over the last year, I have met some really cool people with great ideas (Cravin Morehead, youre the fucking man). Raz, youre my boy blue! So im just condensing all the info into one place where people can ask questions about the system or add to the knowledge base.

So anyone with questions or comments, pull up a chair, and lets make this system even better. Everyone welcome.

I'm starting 6 bb my self.I'm diff new to the bb.I'm going to pull up a chair a learn some this hopefully.

I guess ill start things off, heres a quick run down of my setup.

6 Buckets
100 quart cooler rez
1800 GPH external rez mag drive pump
5x5x8 Secret Jardin DR150 dark room 2
Stealth 100 reverse osmosis filter <---Will be here later this week
DynaPro Grow and CalMag



Been doing a little rework thinking with a few of my buddies, and think if we designed a second pump, and its soul purpose would be to run water out of the rez, up a pipe about 8 foot tall and finally back down into the rez. That would give you the waterfall height you need with out having to raise the buckets to the height they are currently, letting you run your buckets a few inches to a foot off the ground vs 2 feet. This would give me and extra foot to two feet of plant height. I think i might pull the trigger on that between runs.

I think the biggest thing that I learned this run, is that when your water looks like this, its not a bad thing.... atleast with this system anyway. 5 times this run, i cleaned my system thinking it was bad growth, then I finally said fuck it and let it go, and found out later on this is exactly what this system is made to create.

Ill keep adding things i leaned here, and just try to build a knowledge base for this system, so others can try it for themselves. Now that everything is running on all cylinders for me, Im really seeing the benefits of this system. It really is maintenance free. I go down to my area all the time, looking for something to do, but soon realize theres nothing to do but watch the grass grow.
