Tips on Using HR + Size

in the same boat as you PetFlora...
i also am looking for any info on using this,as a foliar and as a feed.
right now im usin 1 gram per 5 gallons,thats what i was told by chris at HR.
it doesnt change ec at all...
would like to hear other peeps doses and ratios too though.

It is also good for vegging, but in smaller doses

V+B is Part A and +Size is Part B.... its a two part,
Flowering week 3
start the +size,
week 4
cut the V+B in half,
week 5
double the +size to 2 grams per gallon,
week 6
you should basically not be giving it any V+B,
week 7
is pretty much +size only and then flush starts.
I followed that this grow with a Sat (Big Mex back cross)
The buds are much fatter than the first go-round, but I also switched from a BML SPYDR600 LED(~340w) to Amare Solar Spec 260 LED (260w)
[FONT="]The leaf[FONT="] damage is[/FONT] the result of Mg [FONT="]deficiency[/FONT] due to much higher [FONT="]intensity[/FONT] of this panel. I corrected early on, but these [FONT="]are older leafs[/FONT][/FONT]

So I'm a little confused. You guys are using +size @1-2g/gal, and saying that you get little to no EC raise from it. I'm using 1tsp/4gal. I weighed a tsp...6g's. So, I'm running it @1.5g/gal. This gives me an EC raise of .4-.5 in RO water. Not exactly what I'd call "little to none".
I just started with the +size this week. Here are a few pics from a few days before I added the +size. This is my Sourbubble...

They grew quite a bit in a few days. Don't know if it's the +size or not, but I'm liking how things are going so far. This is my first run of both v+b and +size, so I really need to reserve judgement until the end. After I add v+b, my Ec has been between 1.4 and 1.6, depending on how consistent I am with the teaspoon. I'm going to stick with this program thru week 6. Week 7 will be +size, no base. Week 8 will be plain water. My pots are small, and my root-mass large, so I figure I'll be Ok with a 7 day flush.

I thought the usage rate was 1 gram per gallon now your saying its 1 gram per 5 gallons per chris instructions? Ill give him a call and find out whats really the application rate and report back to you guys on monday or so.
1-2 tsp/ 5 gallons is the recommended amount on the package. My teaspoon holds 6g of +size.

Here's the label on my 1lb tub...
1-2g/gal or 1-2tsp/5gal is basically the same thing. My label says 1tsp=5g. My scale says 1tsp=6g. I know from experience that not all measuring spoons are created equal, so I assume the discrepancy is there.

We are talking about +size, maybe you got confused between the +size and +life application rates.
On the +life, Chris said to use 1g/5-10 gallons. I use 1/8 tsp/4gal. 1/8tsp is .4g on my scale.
The +size is recommended @ 1-2g/gallon.

i have V+B dirty that im gonna be testing out on a couple plants. i want to see how it stacks up to maxi gro & bloom. i also got a sample of the + size. i was wondering if the + life is worth it or not. have u tried the + life PF?
No. Neither am I seeing any massive improvement using + Size, which is expensive

yes i agree its very exp for sure. im gonna be testing the dirty out against maxi gro/bloom this year. the hydro source had a fked up price on maxi gro/bloom back in march. it was 21$ for 4.4lbs of Mg and Mb. i just checked it again today and now the price is 54.95$ lol i emailed them about it and they said that their new employee had the price mixed up but they would honor my orginal order bc it was their fault

+size makes a very big difference in total weight IME. I have been using V+B for 3-4 years now. Before +size was developed a lot of us were using MOAB instead to lower the N and increase PK levels. Chris basically developed his own version of MOAB when he saw the opportunity.
That being said here is how I grow my Green Crack strain with V+B perfectly(7 week strain):
Veg- 600ppm v+b, 1 tsp +life per 5 gals
week 1 flower- 700ppm v+b
week2-3 flower- 800ppm v+b
week 4 flower- 1 tsp per 5 gals +size then enough v+b to reach 800 ppm
week 5 flower- 1 tsp per 5 gals +size then enough v+b to reach 500 ppm
week 6 flower- 2 tsp per 5 gals +size then enough v+b to reach 300ppm which is usually close to none
week 7- flush
For an 8 week strain I'd bump week 5 to 700, 6 to 500, 7 to 300, 8 flush
