I just had shoulder surgery 2 days ago and I can't do a single thing now. Plus I love the techie nerdy approach to things. But once i got growtronix setup the way i want i'll never have to do maintenance except clipping off the plant and harvesting.

Yeah...all automated. I'm going to set it up so it will change and mix my nutes automatically, and controll every aspect of my cab. It's going to be great.

No, it does sooooo much. read the user manual. You can set up policies with conditions, that once those conditions are met then it will do actions that you preconfigure. Most of the time you have the action be alarm or it turns on a relay outlet

That would be the coolest thing...thats assuming you got a completely secure connection. I absolutely love the versatility of this system. It's almost endless with what you can do, run batch files, view graphs, play sounds and music.

What I plan on doing is getting a bunch of those fire sprinkler valves that switch by i think a 5v current, and have it setup that on this specific day it will switch these valves and drain my system and then fill it and adjust all levels by itself using only one motor.

You can even set it up so that if a pump dies on you or you co2 tank is empty it will automatically switch to a backup. Really, the possibilities are endless. What ever you want to happen, you can make it happen. One of the techs had said to me that they are constantly working to improve the software, they are making new devices, and they will even make custom devices for people. He said that it is unknown what the theoretical amount of devices that can be on a network, but they have a customer that has 47 devices attached to his system and it works perfectly.

Well, i unfortunately can't do anything for maintenance for about 3 months bc i just had surgery, so a system like this is perfect for me.

I use growtronix and its awesome. I think alot of people just don't get it.(personally I think the website is kinda weak at explaining how it all works)

I go with the 'stress free' approach to growing basically try and provide the perfect environment for every second of the grow. I've found having good control of the environment provides a superior smoke and definitely an increase in yield. Another good thing is you can add to the system whenever. When I started out I was in a c-22 cabinet since then my grow gets bigger each time. I've been able to add sensors and relays as I need them.

Right now I have it setup to turn on my AC if the my exhaust system can't keep the temp under control. I sure this has saved me some cash on the power bill not having to use the A/C contsantly.

I also have a few safety policies going. If a flood is detected it turns off the pump. This has already saved my ass. I live on the second floor of an apt and if 30 gallons would have started pouring through to the people below I defiintely could have been busted not to mention being liable for any damages. If your going hydro I definitely reccommend using the flood policy.
I also have use a temp sensor at plant level I have a policy setup to turn off the lights if that sensor goes above 110 degrees. I've never had to have this policy enacted. But if my cooling system were to fail or god forbid my light were to fall it would hopefully stop a fire from starting.

I have a pretty crazy water system. I use the relay which controls my watering pump and setup the policy to vary the time the pump is on based on the temperature. The warmer temperature in the room the longer the watering ON time is. I'm not certain this is a huge benefit but its fun to try and tweak every thing out to its max.

I just recently got the newest version of the software and the quickview feature is really cool. I have basic internet on my cellphone and before this new version I could receive alerts but had to be at a computer with internet to check my setup. The quickview shows all the current readings and the state of all the relays right on my crappy little cellphone. I want to get a pocket pc cellphone then I could turn stuff on and off right from the phone.

I've run out of gas on this post. We used to swap policy ideas on OG but have lost touch with all those guys since og disappeared. I have a bunch of policies I can show ya if your interested.

I just recieved my order. I'm not done setting things up yet. I still have to finish my recirculating system. So far everything is great. I came into a few quirks with the software, but I overcame them quickly.

Everyone is going to be super impressed once I post pictures. Trust me, I swear I have one of the best grow systems in the state. :)

Ours took a crap before the end of a cycle. Since you already have it, seal all connections well. I am a firm believer in tech. but did not research this out enough. Its the old saying you get what you paid for. I would look at greenhouse proven products that have been up an running for years.
It is a nice thought to be on vacation and to peep in on the girls. JK

I've probably spent about $3000-$4000 on my grow setup including cabinet and all devices. If it fails on me ever I will curse god till the day he dies (j/k folks)
