Pretty sure this is TMV, need reasuurance, and suggestions.

Over the past 2 years, i have noticed that only a few of my strains show these symptoms. It never really decreases yield or creates a huge problem, but im worried that one day it could. If they contain a virus, i would think that one day it would be possible for it to be overly expressed (triggered by nutes or enviroment) and ruin a whole crop.. Maybe im just being paranoid, but that would suck bad.

Heres the deal. When it rears its head, it only shows up on one or two plants, and the rest are perfectly fine (same strain). It seems that the plants that are affected, are usually right next to each other. Its usually not affecting the whole plant, but more so just an isolated area. It does not seem to affect yield or quality.

The only other thing that i would think this could be is ph related. I hope thats all it is, but i want others input.

maybe it is maybe it isn't.. have a feeling if you sent a tissue culture off for testing, it wouldn't be. \\

that being said, drop an asprin in every gallon of water you give your plants.

this unknown disease can be easily treated but it cant be cured.

you can still get a good harvest

Ok, what are some common methods or places that people are using to determine if they have a virus, and what that virus is? I cant imagine sending a cannabis sample to a legit agency...

Im assuming this is how it shows itself in flower. It almost looks like nute burn, but again, the rest of the crop was fine. Same strain. Makes me think virus. Especially when its on neighboring plants.

Pic3 is highly suspicious, pic 1 is of concern ..the other pics vary from mild nute burn see the frayed edges to early Mg.def, look for the yellow veins in the leaf

See the TMV as the Ebola of cannabis disease in fact it very similar in that it turn the internal organs to mush like BR of buds, it rots them out, their is no real cure for TMV, so don't fuck around and do get very serious,
treat it for what it is ...a highly infectious disease that has very prevalent in the last few years ..a left over from Holland I was told ...lol
suspect TMV dump the plant the dirt and the pot and all tools used, don't play around with it ..and clean that place down with 10% bleach to hot water...then figure out how you got it

I got a plant now that shows those same symptoms. It's a OGMango x HeadBand. I flowered six out and all showed those same signs, they finished but wasnt impressed with yeild but very much so with taste and potency. They didnt express it strong though always seemed to have a slight mg deficiency even though given epsom salts and calmag. Now the cuts exhibit the same signs, multiple strains going on and none with this "affliction" . Dont know what the fuck this shit is plants are 2 seconds before i trash them.

this is just something that will have to be lived with. asprin helps but doesn't cure.

I get colds. so do plants. keep them healthy. hopefuly they will cure themselves after a few generations. if not, the genetics need to be scrapped

i took plants that look exactly like that to a lab that does all types of plant pathology testing on all types of crops. they said it wasnt tmv or hemp streak or any of the closely related viruses. they then sent it to a microscopy lab when they couldnt find any viruses and they claimed they couldnt find any sigs of any virus whatsoever. im not saying yours isnt tmv because i dont know. but i will say it looks exactly like the plants i took in. totally the side curled leaf the very unique mottling effect. everything about it looks the same even the one sided aspect of some of the leaves symptoms. they said theyve had cannabis brought in alot and have yet to find tmv. i dont know. im leaning toward a unique way some strains exhibit mild to moderate deficiencies of some undetermined sort.

I have had similar issues when I fed my plants synthetics

it seemed to happen when I was banging them with feed and to specific strains.

certain strains required more cal mag or a tighter ph to take it up properly and it seemed these plants were most effected, haven't seen anything like it since I went organic. At least thats how its panned out in my gardens.

That's partially what I was guessing. I would guess it could pop up in organics too I've seen it in organic soil fed with not organic but close bottled hybrid feed. To me it seems like something's out of balance and it would make sense that a gentle balanced organic soil could be really good for something like this.

maybe this is just how cannabis behaves in captivity after too much breeding? kinda like wild pigs loosing their black fur, killer whales top fin curving over, certain breeds of dogs being prone to certain ailments. ect.

It is neither TMV or SHMV (Sunn-Hemp mosaic virus)

This is just a genetic mutation and is a form of variegation.
I have one particular seed line called Goblins, originally from an Afgooey x Blue widow cross.
The original cross passed the genetic defect through its seeds to other breedings as well.
Neither TMV or SHMV are known to pass through seed, so those were eliminated in my studies of the subject.

Another interesting thing, is that by using cutting selection, whether taking variegated or non-V cuttings, can alter the plants appearance.

These 2 plants came from the same mother.
I gave 2 cuts to my friend to prove a point.
I gave one with the mutation and one without.

He eventually tried to see how much the mutation could be sustained before affecting plant health, this is the result, and all cutting manipulation.

So in a nutshell, some of your pics are just over-fertilizing, the rest are just a V-mutation.
No Mosaic virus.

that is what I think too, but why did the adaptation take place? perhapse a way to reflect some light away, because well you know. marijuana cultivators tend to go overboard on the light. myself included. im running 106 watts of hps per sq ft at the moment

These pictures in your first post happens to me on certain strains. The problem fixes itself when I put the pH back in line. Usually it happens when my pH is too low. It's not TMV. Here's a couple pictures of mine:

The problem goes away when I fix the pH.

I have this on my Sour Dubb, others have it on there Sour Dubb. MD I have the Original OGM she doesn't exhibit this trait in my garden. I have been growin the OGM for almost 3 years now. I also tried the OGM X Headband. Mine turned Hermie.. I think mine are from a deficiency issue. All my plants are fine except this one..

For the record, I managed to get a few samples tested for a range of mosaic viruses. All NEGATIVE! Happy happy!!!!!
