Zamaldelica, by Ace Seeds.

I grow micro, low wattage.

The Zamaldelica seeds were freebees from
Seed Boutique. I tried two seeds and one popped
back in 2012.

That one in my rotation has very much kept me interested
in the layers available to one who smokes awesome cannabis.

Layers meaning the complex, meandering high one
experiences while using this fine plant.

So I want to cross Zamaldelica x Zamaldelica to make
some seeds and possibly find more interesting examples
of this line.

I have 3 seeds to try, whatever pops will take a few
weeks to sex. It'll be like watching paint dry, so let's
hope for the best and see what happens.

If no male germinates, well, I'll just get more seeds
from Ace and try again, natch.

I don't believe in no win scenarios, lol.

Pics when I get around to it.

Let's go.

Good ole zamaldelica....one of my all-time favorites. Just seeing your bean breaking ground has my heart racing!! Didn't even have to smoke any. Good luck! I just read a huge zamaldelica thread on here a couple weeks ago...had a ton of good info on the phenos u might wanna give it a read to aid in parent selection. Subbed for sure!!!

I'll post more soon, got some other stuff working.

These two seedlings popped the same day:

Clearly two different expressions, hoping for at least one male.

The third bean hasn't popped, I'll give it two more weeks.

Nice. What sort of medium is that?

I use Sunleaves Piece Coir, it's their chunky stuff.

What you see here is some of the coir I have from previous
runs blended with fresh coco that has been sifted and boiled.

These seedlings will get up potted to 16 ounce hempy cups.

The two seedlings have been transplanted to 16 oz pots.

The runt has decent roots, but is still at first node.

The lanky one seems Thai leaning to me, time will tell.

Pics after the weekend.

Also, thanks for all the replies and support, much appreciated!

Here they are:

Clearly the runt has stalled, got some stretch after transplant,
so it'll stay around a while longer.

The normal plant will get topped soon, then cuttings taken.

The normal sized plant is sexed:

So, no crossing to be made.

Here's the runt:

I cut off the cotyledons to encourage new growth, nothing
new after five days.

I'll continue posting to this thread if the runt shows any new growth.

Otherwise, show's over, lol.

Hi Dropped Cat,

Looking forward to the grow, and especially the smoke reports.

All the Best,

I will keep posting to this thread about the one female
that popped, more threads about the Zamaldelica is
a good thing!

Wait a little be longer before ending the show Cat. The runt might take off.

That runt does have staying power, still no new growth. Thanks again for the interest!
