High CBD Strains, 1:1 thc/cbd, Who's smoked some?

As the title states, I'm looking for anyone who has smoked a confirmed high cbd strain, or one with a 1:1 ratio. I'm currently growing cannatonic and have some 1:1 ratio beans on the way.

I wanna know what the effects feel like when smoking these strains. When the ratio is 1:1, do you get "high"? When it's an even greater ratio (i.e. 25:1) do you even feel anything?

I'm growing these strains for my seriously sick father. He reports pain relief from strains we believe are higher in cbd. So I'm giving Cannatonic a shot. As well as Blue Shark, and Critical Cure from Barney's farm.

Thing is I don't wanna grow a shitload of meds that won't get anyone high. My old man doesn't smoke enough to say boo, and I can't justify running a whole crop of smoke that won't get our "investors" high.

On the flip side, I can justify running a few plants everytime so my old man gets the pain relief he needs. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Free Bump.

Sorry but I can't provide any info other than chiming in with this is a good question and one that I often wonder about as well. If I might also chime in with a question for the informed as well, how are the strains as far as taste goes too? Can you have your cake and eat it too with some of these high CBD strains?

If you live in a med state the demand should get there. I wouldn't start out with but a little and then increase their presence in your room as demand grows but I get as many requests for CBD as THC these days

Forgot to mention this strain too, Lucy from Reserva Privada.

http://www.reservaprivadacolorado.com/cannabis-genetics/lucy

Not 1:1 but according to them, She regularly tests at 15-18% THC and 8-12% CBD.

I've got a pack of these and have really wanted to run her but I don't have the time for a slow vegger right now. I need broads to get as big as possible in my closet before throwing them in the crawl to flower. Don't have time for a slow poke right now.

The list of health problems my old man has is too long for me to remember. He has copd, type II diabetes, and is morbidly obease. He has diabetic nerve pain in his legs constantly. Being the size he is, he has developed sores all over his body that fill with fluid and cause him extreme pain.

He has trouble even getting out of bed most days. I recently turned him on to bho and vaping it with a dome attachment for an e-cig. So now he doesn't have to smoke his meds, which is awesome because of his diminished lung capacity.

So If I end up with a nice pheno with lot's of cbd, I will be making bho for him with the flowers. The catch is I don't live in med-land, and have no way of lab testing. So that's the reason for this thread. Hopefully I will be able to identify if I have a high cbd phenol.

Ok.
I was thinking Early Girl in case of severe physical pain; the problema is that there are not reviews;around 10 years ago when I did grow/ smoke it it was really physical.

I did burn my right hand severely with sizzling oil; I had to leave the kitchen I was working as I couldn´t stand the pain.
I went home, I rolled one and for around 40 minutes I felt nothing (not my hand,no my legs, nothing at all).
I have a pack on the fridge just to check if still is the same as the reviews of some old sensi strain are so confusing...

You could try Juanita La Lagrimosa ( Reggae Seeds ).
cannatonic comes from Juanita or is the same if the histories written in Spanish fórums are true.
No first hand experience but good reviews in Spain.

Best wishes for your Dad

This is what Jaime has told me about Cannatonic ( he looks a good guy, but a lot of unlucky mistakes by him on this one)
Hello Emilio, sorry for the delay answering.
Of course that I don´t mind answering you, it´s part of my job. I wasn´t very aware of the forums, I´ve got no time to read them and I don´t like the fact thet there is people hiding behind nicks to tell lies and write things that are not based on real facts. To be honest with you, I´ve got doubts myself about the genetics of cannatonic and altough it´s a quite long history, I´m going to explain you to clarify things a bit.
Resin seeds starts as a project between Alex ( son in law of Soma) and me in 2007. I was keeping at home all of Soma´s genetics and some of Adam´s ( TH seeds), together with selected strains from other seedbanks. After being a grower for 20 years, I had never made seeds yet; there were several factors to start:
The rise of spanish seedbanks, the genetic library at home, and a personal wish to gave a change to what I was doing for so many time(grow), to start something new and interesting (breeding)... so we tought that crossing that genetics we would have somenthing new; this was a high priority for us, as we wanted to start a innovative seedbank.
As I was very busy with my shops and grow houses, not having any experience making feminized seeds ( I didn´t know the way of using the STS ),as was the case with Alex, He suggested to hire a guy known as Jimmy ( I didn´t know him at the time and later did find out that he was the owner of Reggae Seeds).
I gave the genetics to Alex and him supposedly gave them to Jimmy to make seeds ( both regular and feminized ).We decided the crossings and months later, I think it was first of may, Alex came with the seeds ( regular and feminized, that by the way, without even today knowing who made them, I did put for sale and gave me serious troubles because there were males and hermies_ my fault as I did trust him and just tested the regular seeds_. I germed 80 regular seeds of Cannatonic ( that was the name agreed for the cross of Adam´s female MK Ultra and Soma´s G13Haze male), grow them, flowered them and selected 1.
At the same time Freeman, a good friend of the area made another selection of 50 seeds, from where we got later "Picantona" and "Dulce Canna", both with a very high average of CBD like Cannatonic.
I kept a mother from the first selection and it was from her clones that we got the sample that got 3.prize that year on the Cannabis Cup of the end of november; the sample was harvested with just 9 weeks and cured only 10 days as there was no time to enter it.While I was doing my selection I started to grow suspicious that there was somenthing weird; even if the smell was fresh, kind of haze smoking it, the taste on the mounth reminded me of Soma´s NYCD, I told this to Alex who didn´t agree with me...but well, I didn´t care much at the moment, because to be honest it was somenthing new and fresh.
I entered her in the sativa cup for diferent reasons: the way of flowering ( she stretches if you let the lights on a normal distance) with a lot of branching, haze smell, no sedative effect.... altough you can say she has somenthing of indica, the flowering period ( 9 weeks) and high production.
During that same summer, we started to put in place all the machinery needed to create a Seed Bank, from legal aspects to organization and marketing ( design, strain names, photos, magazine advertising, catalogues, posters etc, etc. That summer Alex tells me that he wanted to move to the south of Spain and that he wants to sell me his share of the seedbank; I paid him a good amounth of money in exchange of all the seeds produced.Well everything fine untill that moment, we had created a seedbank, that months later was the first spanish seedbank to win a prize in the most important cup of the world... it´s there that problems and doubts started. As soon as Cannatonic starts to be known in Spain ( after the prize and many thousand of euros invested in marketing), I start to hear in my area that Cannatonic is similar to some "Juanita", a strain that I had never hear of. I found out that this strain was making his name on the area of Gerona, because Jimmy had distributed clones trough some growshops in the area. I didn´t like it at all and I couldn´t stay without knowing if the rumours were true or not ; Alex had fooled me_ a possibility knowing his liar fame_ or Jimmy had fooled Alex.
I called Jimmy, I went to his home ( I didn´t know him) and after sampling my Cannatonic, he tells me that it´s his Juanita and that he hasn´t produced seeds for Alex, neither used that crosses of my genetics... You can imagine what I tought that moment with thousands of catalogues, packs printed and closed, a prize in the cannabis cup....
The thing is that to answer you ( and sorry about all this stuff, but you will see it´s needed to understand), the only thing I can say is that I think the seeds brought to me by Alex weren´t MK ULTRA x G13HAZE, probably NYCD x G13HAZE or REINA MADRE, that Jimmy says it´s his Juanita, even when he told me that he didn´t make seeds for Alex. In any case it can´t be the same plant than his Juanita as I selected myself the plant that entered the Cannabis Cup ( this has been confirmed to me by local growers who have sampled both); There weren´t seeds of Juanita for sale with that name untill 2010 while Cannatonic seeds where available since 2007, being myself first testing the strain with gas cromatrography to see the THC&CBD levels in 2008 Spannabis fair and that I have worked a lot, espending a lot of money to make the world know this strain, working in medicinal cannabis projects in Israel, Canada and EEUU, with great feedback on a patient level, a fact that makes me feel really good and not the rest of silly things and rumours on the forums, with all the respect for the people that gives his view with knowledge. To receive a call from Canada, to tell me that some patients have stoped taking their medication just smoking Cannatonic, makes me feel really full. Work, effort and money that others want to take advantage of, things that some people have no fucking idea of, but keep telling lies on the forums, using their anonimity.
I want to tell you that I haven´t got a good relationship with Alex long time ago, and that I have got no problem with Jimmy; I do recognise his great work, the numerous prizes he has received are a proof of this.
I hope that I´ve answered your questions, the only things I know is that the feminized seeds of Cannatonic that I produce myself now ( it´s the only way way of being sure what are you really selling, as I had allready to take 4 strains off my catalogue as you can see on my web), come from the clone I selected from the seeds that Alex brought to me supposedly from Jimmy.
From there anyone can draw his conclusions.
Greetings
Jaime Carrion

I am a light weight. Maybe once a week so take that into consideration.

Charolette web, never had it tested but is a pain the ass to grow! Very temermental and easy to herm very weak high almost like a cigarette rush? I would call it euphoric and dreamy with great pain relief. Buds are very loose and tend to have a hay like smell because they Dry very so fast.

Clinic's bubba kush, 1:1
Very sweet tasting great indica extremely relaxing 2 or 3 puffs and I am gone for 4-6 hours with cotton mouth and brainless time. I love bubba by far my favorite strain. This is also a great pain reliever and anxiety crusher.
Good luck in your search!

I grew canna tonic from feminineseedsdotcom stock. a selfed high ratio resin seeds canna tonic according to the breeder. the results from this batch of seeds used to be up at the project cbd website. I got the all thc pheno, the all cbd pheno, and some in between as well as one haze pheno. you will know the difference if you get any 1:1 or higher ratio's, the all cbd pheno is very unique in it's tureen profile and if I smoked any of it I lost any buzz that I might have had. nobody I gave it to liked it or could feel it or wanted any more of it.

WerkShop.Cannatonic.jpg

I couldn't catch any buzz from anything but the all thc pheno.

I've tried a number of high cbd strains from Bay area dispensaries and never found any that I could feel much from. I respond best to lots of thc. your results may vary.

I grew waaay more high cbd meds than I wanted not to mention all of the sick people who I tried to give it to… Hippies's Disappointment indeed.

Hope your dad likes it. if you build tolerance properly to regular RSO anyone can handle the "high". the trick is going very slow and regular in the 1st month. using 25% high CBD will make it less psychoactive.

the patent below describes how much CBD to THC to use for optimal cancer fighting. 4:1

those tests are from Jan '11. I don't think that was commonly tested for then. doesn't mean it's not in there. probably can find lab results from recent tests that would show the other trace components.

the all CBD canna tonic pheno goes by many names now in different parts of the US.
it's called Cannatonic #(insert a number here), AC/DC, Charlotte's web, etc.

good info from a collective here: http://synergycbd.com/cdb-rich-strains/

Thanks a lot Chunky Pigs. Your chart and written response were exactly what I was looking for. After seeing your chart I see that pheno's of cannatonic are all over the chart. I wish I had that many pheno's to pick from. From the looks of that chart, there are both strictly medical, and recreational pheno's to be had. I personally would want the all thc hardly any cbd phenol, that must be a wicked head high!!

My experience --- and now my preference!

My experience --- and now my preference!

I know this thread is over 6 months old, but I hope the OP reads this. I absolutely LOVE Cannatonic and cannot say enough great things about it. I don't like a heavy psychoactive high, so my collective recommended this.

I did notice a very slight psychoactive mind high, but it wasn't too out-of-control and it was... mild. My body felt amazing... the tension in my shoulders fell away and the muscles in my stomach felt loose and warm, almost like the tension I always carry there just breezed away. No anxiety whatsoever... in fact, the anxiety that I tend to have on a daily basis seemed to dissipate as well.

So, in a nutshell, it works great for body pains, tension, and anxiety. If you are worried about your dad getting a psychoactive high, just so you know, he would get one-- though it is VERY slight, even to a lightweight like me! You also get used to it over a week's time.

If you don't want him to get ANY psychoactive highs at all, but want him to benefit from the CBD's pain-relieving benefits, I'd recommend Cheeba Chews. They are an edible brand that has a variety with pure CBD, and non-psychoactive.

Hope that helped, and hope your dad is doing well!!
