Add Female Seeds Grapefruit to the FMCD list

A friend gave me some trim from a small grow of Grapefruit from Female Seeds, even though it is quite stable for a femmed seed there was still a mix of phenos so i was pleased to see FMCD. The ultrasonic spoon is quickly coming to be known (sure, only by me but hey) as the 'melt finder'. A rather tricky bubble to catch on film but after much valiant puffing and many a premature pop, I got there. Not my best but you get the picture.

terrific job, just love your fmcd pics.

but what i really want to know is if you press and play with your bubble before you make those pics?

Beautiful pics....gotta stop smoking all my bubble and forgetting about pics. Which method and length of time do you prefer to dry the bubble?

Thanks TF, I think because of the mix of phenos the taste was more floral with a dash of the grapefruit, proper pheno selection would be needed to pick out a tasty one.
Thanks gaiusmarius I try to keep the pressing and playing to a minimum, the really melty double dome stuff sticks to fingers like no tomorrow so playing with it can be tricky.
Thanks truecannabliss, I dry on a ceramic plate in a space with 10% or lower humidity and temps below 20 degrees c , everytime I have used heavy card in the past it has stuck.

he's takeing the piss now people.......LOL

its just too much, that must be an amazingly clean smoke. i know what you mean the cardboard can cause it to stick if you put it on fully wet, i normaly do a light hand press in the screens before i crumble it onto my cardboard hotdog trays. i'll be doing a run soon, am planning to use the toothbrush again, this time the trim is fresh frozen and from fully ripe plants, should be good, the question is how good, lol?

OK, GM, and just where is the thread that tells us how it went - huh? I'm very interested in the toothbrush idea, as I have one but the battery is very old and not holding a charge. Do I go buy one or not? I've already epoxied a spoon to a toothbrush head, after cutting off all the bristles only to find the battery gone. Don't wanna spend money for nothing in return (over what I get now with a wooden spoon).

Perhaps - those are some of the best dome shots I've seen. Your angles and lighting are excellent, and it looks like the product is as well. Someday I hope I'll be posting shots like that, as soon as I take them, as soon as I make the hash, as soon as I grow the RIGHT plant, whatever that is. Go ahead, laugh, I'll do it. Probably, Maybe, Oh, don't count on it...

as it turns out i didn't use the toothbrush. i decided to go with the cake mixer on low. this time the bubble came out looking red, tf and i had a nice testing session and the 73 is fmcd. pity we didn't take any pics. i really don't know what the ultrasonic toothbrush brings? i am intending to do further experiments. but in the 20-gallon bags it feels foolish stirring with a toothbrush and spoon attachment, loll. and when i use just the wooden spoon i always worry about not getting enough to make it worth all the work of pulling the bags, lol.

I've had good yields with the wooden spoon - the jury is still out on the ultrasonic.

Hmmm, I wonder about lowering a transducer in the water? Gotta check eBay.

Man, if I had enough trim to merit using 20 gallon bags, I'd be ecstatic. I have the 5 and 1 gallon sets, and my grow gives me the hash I use. Just think of the experiments at the 5 gallon level with all the same type of trim. Vary one at a time; the settling times, the stirring methods, the filter bag sets, the bubbleator, etc. So much to research, so little material.
