High ya IC. Anyone ever see a Male plant reveg, After its shed its pollen?Well I have never seen this, until now. usually a male will plant will die after shedding pollen. This year I had some extra plants they where put outside, due to the crazy early preflowering this year the plants all sexed very early. The males from 2 different strains (Bay 11 and Cookie wreck) somehow have started to reveg. Has anyone else ever seen this?
I will get some pics as soon as the batterys charge.
I might try and take a clone and collect pollen from the same plant, which can (possibly) be also kept alive?
mack.

nice. I have seen this a few times. Males don't usually like to play nice with the reveg. Had a few though. They never stopped dribbling pollen though. Good on ya.

Peace

yeah mate, no problem...
males and females behave the same... every single flower has his/her own life. it grows, develops, blooms and dies, but the plant supporting it may trigger back to veg and again to flower if forced.
sure it's a stress.
when you reveg a male however it's difficult to stop him producing pollen completely. even in veg he puts out preflowers which can drop pollen.
hope this helps :)

What I do is pick em clean of balls, then on a daily basis chop em down from each growing head node by node, right down to the last few nodes, make sure you leave some leaves! Eventually the stress of choppin em back will cause em to grow regular leaves from the bottom nodes and not produce balls. 24 hour lighting until they revert.

You gotta kind of work those flowering hormones out. They gather in the growing tips so when you chop the tip the next one down gathers it up, basically you are sucking up and eliminating the flowering hormones.

Some plants are just more photo receptive then others when it comes to the reveg.....

What I do is start by letting the boy dry the hell out real good, when I do water it is just a splash of pure water cold as I can get it, no fert in it, just enough to keep him going. I change the light back to 18/6 or similar. He will soon start throwing 1 finger reveg leaf I do this for about two weeks. Your boy should be looking very sad but alive. Now I switch to 24 for about a week or so and start feeding a good veg fert and a alot more water like a full wet pot and room temperature, keep it wet dont let it dry this week.

When I see fresh reveg, no ball son new growth, now I will cut away all the old flowered branches as many as I can leaving the fresh veg growth and continue on. You can keep one boy bonsai style with a little root trim during drought cycle when needed.

Also by using this method you will find out how resistant your boy is to showing intersex characteristics.

^ super good info above.

The purging method of the minimal cold water is an interesting technique.

I have one male that I especially like going through a reveg right now. He just shot a few leaves of regrowth, him and some other females that have been seeded and or harvested.

Question: How uncommon is it to find a male that produces raised trichomes?

First three weeks of flower is the best time to stress the shit out of them, easiest time to throw hairs...

Same premise as re-vegging a female. TonyGreen had great answer to the query.

Some people used to say impossible! Not so obviously! I thought that pic was pretty cool with the reveg and pollen on bottom and fresh growth on top!
