Will This Work For Vert ?

I have a 400 and a 250 hps that i want to go vert with

right now their horizontal and ducting to cool bulb

My concern is heat from the bulb after i take it out the cooltube

I have an a.c in my closet wall with a rig vent pointing the airflow downward

if i take the bulb out the cooltube and go vert will the airflow from my a.c be enough to cool the bulbs ?

I have my fan for my carbon filter up top on side wall which should help suck heat out since heat rises

Thanks in advance fellas

Homie I believe you'll need strong extraction, a 6in vortex type centrifugal fan should vent 400+250 properly...all the best peace !

I run a 400 and 250 in a 4x4... As long as you throw the filter over the top of the bulbs, duct the exhaust out of the room, and have good intake air, I bet that AC just sits there and collects dust ;)

6" CAN fan/filter over here

No, that looks like an inline duct fan, you need a centrifugal fan like that freaky mofo said ^^^ ;)

Well i am very surprised

With my lights in my cooltube my temps was 79 so i figured that my temps would go up going vert and no cooltube

Well to my surprise my temps dramatically dropped a significant amount

From 79 in the cooltube down to 71 going vert

I guess it my a.c blowing down on them keeping the bulbs cool

Welcome to the wonderful world of vert . Since no one else asked, what size is your a/c? If it's at least 5000 btu you might just conisder going sealed and setup your filter to recirculate instead of exhaust. In a space that small all you need to supplement co2 is a couple gallon jugs half full of water with a lil yeast and sugar mixed in. Shake once or twice a day, and add a cup of sugar once a week. Poke a pin hole in the lid to allow co2 to escape.

Thanks man

Yea i believe it is just a 5,000 btu

Im sorry but i dont understand when you say sealed up , my closet is sealed up and no exhaust , the heat just gets cooled off by the a.c so i dont have to exhaust heat out

The 6" inline duct fan i have up top is for my carbon filter to control the odor

I did a quick vid so you can get a better visual then what you would threw pics

I went ahead and hooked my cooltube back up to it but i mounted a 90 cfm fan on the bottom of it to blow the heat up

Im thinking its gonna work out like this , their is a tone of air blowing threw the cooltube with that fan mounted to it
