on the bottom right of the pic you have a yellow looking calyx. From what ive seen, thats usually caused by botrytis. hope im wrong brother. :)

nooo.

thats a calyx that has a seed that is dry and dying out. nothing to do with botrytis. lookes like a seeded up bud to me. what makes you think mold? pry it open, do you see stringy gray fuzz? then its not mold.

thanks very much for that information, i didnt know that could happen

i was just freaked out to see the calyxes so dried up and i thought it was light/heat burn on the buds. and then my paranoia concluded that maybe mold was appearing as i read that burnt buds can lead to bud rot.

as soon as lights go on i will check to see if there is cotton. but when i tooked a look today and took the pictures there was nothing like it.

so is it coming to see white/yellowed calyxes in a seeded bud? do leaves around it as well get yellow because of this or this is part of the final stage of flowering?

i know that leaves go yellow in the final stage, but im wondering specifically about the sugar leaves around the buds

many manny thanks for all the answers!

I think that KCar got it right.
The seeds seem mature so i would cut that bud and give it a good inspection.
Better safe than sorry ;)

Well, pollinated calyx's will naturally turn brown in time. That's why I said possible.
You need to dig in with your fingers and look inside the bud.
But like someone said, those seeds are finished. Might as well chop anyway.
Good luck!

hey there everyone :)

yes thats what i did, i just chopped it and i checked inside the bud, no rot, just finished seeds and dry leaves/calyxes around it. what a relief :)

thanks again

ive been experiencing similar light bleaching, even on the tips of calyx that are unexposed to light. wondering if this may be a late in flower nutrient burn before flush, or if it is natural browning due to age.
