Well I posted this in the lighting forum, but no real interest. So I'll post it here also.

I went today just to check and they are $9.99 for the whole lamp. Housing, ballast, and bulb. I am still pondering if I could use them instead of my 4 26w cfls without heat issues. If anyone with first hand exp. With them could chime in with any info that would be great. I'll state that I am in Indiana. Dont know if it is just a local sale or could be going national.

Ive found that one single bulb was easier for me to cool than multiple CFLs. If you have the means and enough space to make a cooltube for it, then I'd say not questions asked, go for the MH. I switched from 6x26w CFLs to a single 150w HPS, and my temps went way down.

Through my experience, I believe the number of bulbs you have to cool is a more important factor than the type of lamp or the wattage youre dealing with.

I believe that these lights can be had for around $50. So by the time that it was paid with shipping you wouldn't really save much. I don't feel comfortable sending anything to someone on these forums. Good luck

I have been looking around and seen that you can't send seeds or buds. I haven't seen where you can't send a security lamp. Just to be in the clear in noway am I going to send it. I will edit my post to reflect this. Thanks SGT.

Your welcome. I just picked 2 70 mh for just over $20. Awsome deals. I may have to look into the hps's. I didn't see any for under 39.99. Good find.

Yeah i believe it was a clearance item as i was looking for the mh and they did not have any in stock that were low wattage and low priced.

Thanks for the links. I already have 2 150w'er and I'm using 4 36w 4100 cfls in my mother cab which is an old surround subwoofer box. 7"w-14"d-18h. It's small but keeps my three 2week old plants nicely until I can get another cab going. Which I plan on having seperate mother/clone/flowering cabs. Cfls in both mother and clone cab. 150 hps and both 70w mh in the flowering cab. Plan on doing perp. Sog. With 30 clones. Pulling 5 aweek. I moved from my old house into a apartment. I used to have a 5'x3'x8 closet so having to go to a cab is differnt but watching all these grows is inspiring.
