can anyone tell me where the hot corners are? i am always getting lost when at the carnival but usually i find a few nice backstreets with huge speakertowers . i think 2 years ago i ended up at a big red bus (someone was djing from that bus). it was super crowded there and the youth was going totally crazy BUT that wasn't mine. always funny is that coconut guy that smashes coconuts on his head while jumping to jungle. funny but also too crowded and not enough roots that way neither... so any guidance is welcome! ;)

all the best from germany

ive been in the past but tbh i think the whole place is far too crowded to have a good time these days. if you can find a bit of space to dance and a good sound system then great but getting round the place and staying with a group of friends is a logistical nightmare.
im very used to crowds and loud music etc but i also find the atmosphere can be quite scary and intimidating there too - like its just about to kick off.

ive stayed well away for some time now but to all those going have a great time!

That would be "Good Times" (Norman Jay and his brother), always meet mates there, just round the corner from Aba Shanti I (about 200 meters away) "Aba Shanti I" used to share the spot with another sound system, one day each I think, Sunday or Monday.

I went in the 70's but it got a bit hairy, quite dangerous.
Fast forward to '91 and i have only missed one year, mind you the last 3/4 years the police presence has nearly doubled (fucking Boris), shutting more roads and stopping peeps access down other roads, meaning you have to go all round the houses to get somewhere.

Top tip > Dont drink beer, get a bottle of rum (Appletons special is nice), get some bottles of coke, drink some of the coke then top up with rum. Heypresto ready made drinks in plastic bottles, get a lime maybe and squash it in there. Now you dont have to find a bloody toilet all the time, or somebodys front yard.

And of course weed > last year it was Dirty Harry.

See you there

hi cloneman,
yeah, it was called "good times", thanks for the reminder.

let's hope that the carnival will take place despite the looting and fuzzing. maybe someone has more info on that?

take care everyone

The real question now is, will they have put enough people in prison to stop it turning into a mass rampage from west London to Oxford St.

I heard they were starting it late and finishing it early this year.....probably so they can flood it with Plod without exceeding the budget...

What makes me laugh is they dont have enough room in the prisons in the UK to lock em all up. there letting out peido 's & sex cases early all the time just because they dont have the room. trust me ive ben on extension construction projects with HMP Prisons, over 50 of them nationwide. & what they did wasnt enough! what a joke! yeah reward the beasts"! typical of britsh justice. its a farce! all of it! British prisons have been bang/over full for years, they cant build new ones quick enough! & there all private run(most of em)!

All peido's should be executed, speaking as a farther! what do the british do when they get out, move them in next door to a 3 or 4 kid families. makes perfect sense to me! typical of this shit hole!

I hope the carni rocks though! but i wouldnt be surprised if it went off! its more than a shame, cause they'll just let a load of sex-cases out early to fill the gap! if only people knew they wouldnt riot! or not so many of em!
