med-mans medical film technique

T

the med man

in all my experience, ive never had bigger yields of higher quality in my entire life for such a low cost then these medical tables. all the material can be bought at any hardware store, minus the nutes of course, unless your store carries hyox, ph up and down and general hydroponics like rona does in canda then you are set. black and white polyt and maybe some hydro fittings are all you need.

ive dedicated my life to the kind canna collective, and have been designing and working on other peoples grows. now that i just moved i thought i would share my and dmts own personal grows with the community, as this is my favorite method for producing meds.

1.5 lb per kw is with major muck ups, 2 per is easy, 2.5 is the average, and 3 plus under optimal conditons. and thats with very high end hashplants that people claim dont yield.

any size tabels can be built. abs scrap board base, 2x6 spacers, and corplast lids, with most any kind of poly especially vopur barrier to water proof it. this is my basement:

i have a 100 gal rez between both tables, and a 55 gal top off rez so that i dont have to do it every day to twice a day subject to growth stage. a float valve controls the source water(artesian spring water), and a float valve controls rez levels, this works great for warehouse too that have tiny water heaters(where deez mft's are) pics to come.

so make the beds, water proof, cover then poly for reflective and aesthetic purposes, and you are rteady to grow. ive founfd these tables use the least amount of building material and cycle/maintainance expenses over a year to any othe set up ive ever tried, mm

once the tables/beds are made, slits are cut in the 4.75 inch holes in the coroplast to force in 5 inche baskets, the baskets have 3/16 holes drilled in the sides for the drip lines, the drip lines are connected to the feed line via tube adapters placed with a hole puncher/adapter rammer........the main line runs the length of each table and the pump in the 100 gal rez is dead centre of the tables so the pressure is mostly equal to all drip lines. simple 1/2 inch flow valves control the gph of nute solution, mm

im out of pics after this, will take some tomorrow for sure of both production sites. becuase the kcc tries our best to grow organically, a barrel filter is always used in drip systems. it wouldnt be needed if you wanted to run just chems. mm

Great set up mm. I guess the hardest part is setting those tables up with the right slope so they drain back to the res. I get dmts tables ok, but your long thin ones? I know the next pics will explain it, but it seems like they could be wider and hold more plants? I'm no hydro guy though, so i'll watch and learn.
Thanks for showing us.

So do nft systems run constantly. or do you cycle on and off?

my tables are 16 inches wide, more then enough space to grow some serious fibres, and still not clog. this is also the easiest, but i find most unforgiving set up. this is the first ever hydro i tried, and couldnt believ the results. there will only be 10 plants, each one surrounded by 4 600w digis, 50% super hps, 50% sunmaster super mh, mm

a larger size nft run . . .. i got a woody
any capilary mat or anything like that??

to be specific, it isnt 100% nft, thats why its mft lol. top feed drips over 3 inch rockwool cubes, once the roots hit the table, the nft begins. ive had roots so big sometimes that you can barely see table underneath. they creat a root matt, and intertwine,

all the breather roots grow out, up and away from the film, and all thedrinker roots follo the stream. these roots were from cuttings pre vegged ion 3 inch rw for 7 days then vegged for 10 in the mft's and this shot is 2 weeks into flowering when they virtually stop growing. the plants roots get 100 percent nutes and moisture they need and 100 percent air they need. growth rates are honestly comparable to aero farms, plant mass in any stage doubles every week u.o.c, mm

Hey medman this looks great!

So just to verify, the roots are just suspended and only slightly submerged by the runoff of the other drippers? Or its not really a dripper but a steady stream whose intensity is controlled by the flow value?

How often do you water... Seems like plants on the higher elevated side of the table would receive less water or am I not understanding?
