whats up fellow members,

After an almost 1 year vacation I'm back. I call it a vacation because I really needed to take a break from the egotistic, competitive, "I'm right, you're wrong", reality which plagues most forums.
For me cannabis cultivation is deep.

I spent my time with a couple of great plants, lots of data, and I tasked myself with modifying the cultivation of cannabis into a reliable, calculate-able process.

Throughout this process I read through what seemed like a lifetime of data, networked with people, set up trials, gathered other cannabis growers data, on and off this site, and modified everything to fit a goal I had set in mind.
The Goal?
Quite simple. To have a system where I can through the synergetic use of everything I know, create flowering plants exactly as I see fit.

Result? after many moon phases, I've done it.

Note: I'm just posting to again pour knowledge/experience back into the collective consciousness of humanity. You're free to utilize all of it, throw it in the trash, whatever you please. I'm just not back to get into ego wars. Just remember this system works perfectly for me and I am beyond content. =)

and enjoy the pictures...and info

She is an MK-ultra approx 50 days into flowering, she's never received more than 500ppm of nutrients at daily waterings.

These girls are also approx 46-56 days into bloom. I use a SOG type approach very similar to drbudgreengenes method, but with modifications that fit my approach.

This plant along with all the other ones is grown in a Coco Medium with Nutrients that never exceed 500ppm. Every Watering, Everyday, Never Flushed/leeched, oh and she lives in a container with less than 500 ML's of coco.

Silicone (SI) plays an integral part in plant durability. Si @ 1.5ml per gallon @every watering will lead to strengthening of every aspect of your ladies (she is a bubba @ day 48)

Here I was experimenting with different light intensities and light sources, hands down CFL's still are the best lighting to attain what I want, and with each plant averaging ~10grams dry X 100 plants? 200 plants? 500 plants? hehe its just math after that point. If I want to I can fit 100 plants in 8 sq foot of area

I'll be back to add more info and pictures shortly. Enjoy !

So growing is awesome, but growing with goals, and progress is what truly motivates me. I used to be an "organic guy" as far as cultivation goes. One day it occurred to me that regardless of how much organic you put into the plant as long as your indoors under artificial light, there's nothing organic there at all.

When you think about it, the precise output of the sun is what gives plants everything they need. There are wavelengths that trigger much deeper proceedings in plants then just the "5000k or 3200k" output influences plant growth and bud and tricome production/development. SO ….. with that discovery I turned my attention more towards making for me the most efficient indoor cultivation method, where I play GOD with the girls.

I've found that several other members utilize this method of growing , and I also know that there is a certain hostility towards the possibility of there being a better way. And look there's always preference and other factors which make this style of growing impossible in certain scenario's and perfect in other ones. IE if you've got a warehouse cultivation project going, then it would probably be easier to go with bigger plants and plenty of HID usage. If you've got an extra bedroom you want to dedicate to cultivating grade A cannabis , this will definitely work for you, regardless of lighting choice. I've just found CFL's more optimal for placement and they produce an entire cola bud top to bottom, vs when I've seen the HID's at work, they produce larger tops with emptier bottoms, and CFL's are abundant, cheap, can be replaced, come with 5-8 year warranties, and they have the higher balance of usable light, vs heat when placed in close proximity to plants. *also I've found HID's cause more lower branching development and cfls allow the plant to stay more cylindrical and uniform from top to bottom.

This entire method is based on you making the plants do what you need them to do, vs you adjusting things because your girls want to play bad.

Looks good to me bali man....I never understood the whole I'm right, you're wrong vibe on cannabis websites...It does get ridiculous at times.

Do what works for you or just do what you makes you happy.....not everything is a competition :D

Very cool!

Can you show a shot of the whole inside of the cab?

How are your lights placed?

Breakdown of number of lights/wattage?

How many plants do you usually have in there per run?

Are you doing a perpetual in the flowering area? or all of the same age?

Hey Blynx, ofcorse this is one of the bigger cabs, the 8sq foot one.
It's got 4x 23watt CFL's per sq foot. I basically take a i sq foot tile, draw 4 smaller squares in it, and place a light in the center of each of those squares.

well lets just say that I a hybrid system, I'll explain my plant rotation process in its own post as it is not so straightforward to explain. But the plants go in at 16 containers PSF, By harvest time around 10-16 fit in the same SQ foot depending on strain.

PS: I do own 3 600 digi lumitec HPS systems, and a fewer lower wattage ones, and a old white ballast 1000 MH/HPS

looks good bali man.

when i was building my cab this was basically the "other" set up i envisioned. i'm excited at your results, so i'll pull up a seat and maybe you'll convince me to switch over for my next grow.

coupla questions: how long is your cycle from rooting to harvest? are you hand watering? and how tall is your cab?

Thank you brother, once dialed in, it really is AS I'VE FOUND the most efficient growing system. This is also taking into consideration that I don't use much coco, nutrients, water, etc.

The cab in this picture is approx 26 inches tall. I am hand watering daily (using a wand and a water pump). Once clones root, they go into tiny 2 oz cups, where they get covered in roots in a day or 2, at this point if they are the correct height they get transplanted into 470ML bottles and go into 12/12. If they are a bit too tall, I take a cutting and clone that while the cut plant then enters 12/12. all in all from the time they root until they are ready is approx 65-75 days.
(Oh and when cloning I get roots in approx 5-7 days).

These are TOOOO TALL to go into flowering, they will be chopped down

Perfect!!! Now these bottom ones are Ready for Flowering!!!

peace brothas..:canabis:

looking alright man, looks like you went a little wild on the trim down, poor little girls . good idea with the tile thing, good way to maximize light use-age. could always super crop your plants to control high, lower stress on the plants and increases yields. Would love to see some finished dried product.
