This diary is about cultivation of two plants in a compact grow box 127H*56W*35D cm using a LED lamp.
I am from Russia and there are very few growers that use LEDs. The most still prefer to use HPS lamps and don't want to switch to LED lights. That is why I'm so interested to know the worth of LED lighting: whether they are more cost-effective substitute for HPS or their time has not come yet?
1. Equipment
The lamp has 288 LEDs that emit light in the range from 420 to 730nm. Color ratio of leds: 18x 420nm, 30x 460nm, 18x 610nm, 30x 630nm, 180x 660nm, 12x 730nm.
LED panel with a claimed power consumption of 300W, in fact, consumes only 250 watt right after powering on. With heating power drops down to 230 watt, which directly affects the light, because luminosity decreases linearly with increasing temperature of leds.
Therefore, in the title of the diary I did not write marketing watts, but real.
The lamp is cooled with two 120mm fans. They were noisy and were replaced by two quiet Cooler Master 2000 rpm. Also the glass in front of the diodes were also removed.
Total setup consumes at work about 260 watts, which is twice less than that consumed my old box with HPS 400 watt.
Grow box holds two buckets of 10 liters in volume, equipped with an inline duct fan S&P TD-160, charcoal filter PHRESH 4"x8", thermometers, timers, fan blower, electromagnetic lock (doors opening on a signal from the remote controls).
The electrical part located in the lower compartment, there is a fresh air hole with a check valve closing when you turn off the fan.

2. Strains and cultivation techniques
The first strain is Vanilla Kush (Barney's Farm), Cannabis Cup Winner 2009.
type Indica Dominant
yield 600 gr Xm2
HEIGHT 65 cm
flowering time 9 weeks
Harvest time End of September
THC 22%
CBD 1.2%
Second - one of three strains of Mosaic Mix from Magus Genetics. The mix contains seeds of such a relationship: 2x Exile, 2x Motavation, 1x Double Dutch, and the seeds are mixed in the package and it is not possible to find out what strain will be planted. For this reason, I will call the second plant "XXX from Magus".
The techniques of cultivation: LST followed by ScrOG. ScrOG with cell size of 5 cm is located at a height of 20 cm from the ground level.
The composition of the soil (10l): 2l vermiculite, 1l perlite, expanded clay 3cm at the bottom, the rest of the soil is a mix "Seliger Agro" for figs and palms.
Fertilizer: Etisso GRUNPFLANZEN, Hesi Soil Bloom Complex, Hesi Soil Phosphorous Plus, GHE Ripen.
