This grow was a test grow. I wanted to give organic soil a go, & I also had a new Serious Seeds AK-47 mom plant from seed that I wanted to flower out in order to see how long it takes to flower. I usually have larger grows, so I didn't need to purchase any gear for the grow. I simply flowered under one of my veg fixtures and put an oscillating fan on them.
The plants were grown in 16 oz Gatorade bottles that had the top cut off. I'm just guessing each one had about 12 oz of soil. I fed with only top dressings. They got a single feeding of kelp meal, Peruvian Seabird Guanao & worm castings for veg, then after that they were fed every two weeks a mixture of worm castings, Indonesian bat guano & kelp meal.
The went 59 days, but these images were made about 2-3 weeks before harvest. This cut could easily go for a full 65 days of flowering.

In Dr.BudGreenGenes's thread, he talked about how he just snaps the main stalk if a plant gets too high in his CFL cabinet. I always wondered how a plant would handle that, & I'm too cheap to do it to a real plant under a HPS, so I tried ti this grow. I snapped this little gal where she's crooked @ week 2 of flowering and she recovered just fine, although I think yield suffered a bit.
The final yield was 34.2 grams. I harvested one plant on the 14th of the month and tried a little bit of it yesterday (after 9 days of drying, including 6 in glass). It really feels like a sativa after smoking LA Confidential for 3 years!

This was a fun grow for me, so I thought I'd share with the micro grow peeps. I didn't really expect much out of it other than knowing how long my cut takes to flower, but an ounce & a quarter is better than a kick in the teeth, right?! If someone only smoked an ounce a month, two of these could keep them supplied indefinitely, which is pretty rad. The best part is that if they decided to go bigger & get an HPS they would already have a killer veg setup.
I really kept the top colas in the bulbs, so they're pretty dense, but the lower stuff is dense too. . . certainly much denser than I thought. This AK grown under a T% is much denser than the Grape Ape I grew under a 600 watt HPS, so that's sayin' somethin'! I wouldn't want to smoke fluoro bud all the time, but it's certainly not bad.
