I tried some indoor grown MOB that was pretty good ...can't remember the exact flavor, but it was good, my buddy says it kinda cherry tasting to him. It seemed to have an even keeled potent buzz, but not crushing.

From what I understand it is done outdoors right about now. Like many light sensitive early clones it can be challenging going from indoor to out. The guy I know put freshly rooted cuts out June 1 (which is the established way around here) and still had a a good bunch of them freak out and start flowering immediately.

Is ma-bu-shay quebecois for money over bitches? This cut is gettin rep in our region. People calling it master of berries, maine outdoor bud, maine organic blueberry....

Ha-ha ,ma-bushay is my pet name for her..If you top her she turns into a bush...Your right the photopod period can be tricky, ive found they basicly need 24/7 light to stay in veg or at 3-4 feet they seem almost automatic...As for outdoor 1st week in sept is about right.....The other noticable distintion is after its smoked the room smells more like sage then mj....Good morning ,get your work done high.....E.C/out

Here's what i know after 1 completed grow with more in veg., and what a friend told me(friend of a friend of the breeder).M.o.b. (My own bud) or (Money On a Branch). all info is for indoors. mostly indica with fat leaves.stays short, never more than 3 feet tall, even after lengthy vegging. can finish as early as 45 days, but best just past 50. recomondedto top early and often as single colas are rarely any larger than mutiples. amazing smell when growing, like fruit just starting to rot sweet and sick. well cured has incredible flavor that sticks in your mouth for awhile after smoking. needs med/low levels of nutes, but will suck up alot before being distressed. my favorite strain nobody has heard of, outside of maine that is

Sounds like she doesn't stretch much. How much veg time you give her with some topping? Are we talking 60 day veg time from cut or therabouts? I was impressed with the indo MOB I had, may have to pick her up and check her out. Great early outdoor strains that hold there own indoors(or vice versa) are rare.

Who developed the MOB strain?
Rumors :bump: stories past from friend to friend...Ive heard that it came from the same circle's in the northeast USA[western mass then migrated to maine]where the skunk, diesel and dog roam....Another female-clone only breed passed from friend to friend....Ive heard of 4 pheno's-seen 1.

From the description, I think i'm running this cut. Mine came labelled with different spelling, but the descriptions here are dead on. I got it outta western Mass. She's a winner for sure.

cut mine yesterday. chunky resinous buds even after a slew of errors/pests/miscalculations during the grow. a very forgiving plant. it's hard to fuck this one up really.

Highsteppa: my pheno displays almost no stretch whatsoever, maybe two inches. i top at week two and then clone the shit out of them two weeks later, a week of recovery and then off to bud

E.C: you know as much as i do on the lineage. mainers are notoriously tight lipped, even friends

Your description is dead on....the smell and taste are unbelieveable....Great breed to pass on to the medical community. An easy grow for a patient just starting out.One of those you can set and forget [if done right]...Much better production if topped a few times and allowed to veg like a bush..hence ma-bushay......E.C/:ying:

Just a quick update: i've taken to letting the m.o.b. veg for a bit more. say two months. two rounds of cloning leave these babies looking like spherical hedges and i am expecting about 3 oz. dry weight per 3 gal plant. the fact that i can pack these in so close more than makes up for their slightly lower than amazing yield. pics maybe if i dare. interweb frightens me, but i need to share knowledge or my brain explodes....

Had the pleasure of smoking this one once a couple months ago. Would give my left nut for a cutting... got clone-a-palooza for trades...

They called it MOB - mother of berry

Anybody know the lineage?

M.O.B. = Mother Of Berry

From what I understand, it's an inbred Jerry Berry line. It may have been crossed out with an old school Haze. Anyway, it's an outstanding strain. The smell/flavor are absurd. It's certainly an elite New England cut. One of my favorites. Here are a few pics:

That's the most effective way to grow her, little bushes......The only drawback ive found is its Powdery mildue resistanse. She dont like it....Keep your room/cuts clean your all set....Ill agree this breed is and elite and hoarded in Maine....Best new outdoor breed ive seen in years..:dance013:

Anyone want to direct me to a cut, a family member had one two years back but lost it in a raid. He said it was the best tasting most potent weed he ever grew. I also saw a bit of it up at harrys hill this year, some guy carrying it around in five gallon buckets. he was calling it mother of all berrys This is very high on my list.
