Welcome to my new thread! :jump:

Those of you who saw my grow before saw me running 1200w in a much smaller space. I had trouble filling it up just right. I'm used to growing bigger plants. Well, now that I'm legal, I've decided to come back out of the closet!

I upgraded to a Homebox Seconds XXL. It has a defective liner, so I just had to put up Panda Film. Big deal... It was a steal at less than $250 shipped. :)

For those just tuning in, I run coco/perlite w/ the Rezipe + Silica Blast. Nothing more. This run I have a few pots in straight coco, just because I ran out of perlite. 5 gal pots this time. The drip lines still have to be set up, but that's easy compared to filling up all those pots with coco!

Current strains: My number one bitch- Straw D x ChemD bx1 (StrawDD), Sourbubble, Sugar Cane Kush, Grape Skunk, Bogglegum, Chronic, GDP, Sour Larry x Tahoe OG, Purp (Last run for this plant)... Maybe 1 or 2 more that slipped my mind.

The next round... Blueberry, ELE, C99, Chemdog x Menage... and oh so much more. What do you think of my home-made flood table? :)

How are you cooling that?

Looks like you're off to a great start.

With a fan. lol

Seriously though, I have a 175cfm inline fan blowing out the top of the tent, ducted into a Stanley Blower blowing into my other room. :) That room is exhausted through a Tall Boy Carbon Scrubber from HTG Supply. It has like a 440cfm fan on it. The rooms are flip flopped.
I sort of think I need to increase my airflow, because right now temps are too high.. but it is summer. lol I just blast the AC all day. I can't run all 1200w just yet. I've been doing 600w for 6 hours a piece. More like a light mover.

looks like a great setup,no hoods though? ive often wondered about just hanging the lights, have you done it both ways and determined the hood isnt worth it? I had a tent similar to what you have now, and one thing i did find helpful was that having your light in a hood with a vent made it much easier to keep the temps down in the tent? you could do 2 inline hoods and cool both those lights off with one fan pulling from your filter and pushing through your lights/hoods and out? good luck looks like you know what your doing so forgive my basic suggestion if already thought of.

Well this is the first night with the setup all put together. The temp right now is 70F with 250w burning. It's possible I could run all 1200w. I can't test it right now because the other room is on, and I'm running a flip.

dropabomb- No hoods buddy. It's how I roll. IMHO, they're just something to spend money on. I feel that you can take the money from a hood, and put it into your exhaust/intake. I have lots of airflow. My temp problems are just because I can't bring down the ambient temperatures enough. Fall is only a month away though. Just long enough for these plants to get a good veg. :D Thanks for the suggestion though. Take a look around the vertical section, and you'll see a lot of guys with no hoods. Some with cooltubes though.

Thanks deltronZERO. I have to say, this is my best setup yet. I've never had a grow come together so neatly. I think I've finally made enough mistakes that I can anticipate them and prevent them from ever happening. lol

1 example... I was faced with the predicament of stacking 2 2gal buckets that I already have stacked together to hold up the wire racks, or buy 5gal buckets. I bought the 5gal because 2 buckets is a point of weakness for everything to fall over. Now that I'm thinking about this, I could have bolted the buckets together... dammit... such is life.

ummm... i don't like growing plants in small containers. I do better in 5gal containers.
Electricity above water. :)
Lots of airflow! I'm going to add an intake fan. Then I should be able to run both lights. I'm running a 400w now with temps at 78F.
zip ties keep everything nice and neat. I got real bright ones so that I can see them easier to remove them. I forget where they are sometimes.
IDK what more to share.

I'm stoned and rambling... My boy set me up with some meds that just turn my brain into mush... He likes to take his plants more amber than cloudy I guess. :D Crazy fucker.

Im not asking.Im just saying...I think if a garden is kept in the top of a building it gets hot easier and is harder to control heat than a garden kept in the lowest part of the building.

Thanks for not asking. :) lol A basement certainly would be ideal.

So a friend of mine gave me a male Straw D F2! This beautiful plant was unfortunately infested with mite eggs! YIKES! :bashhead:

That's ok. This is what you do with such a beautiful specimen... :D

The rest of the plant has made it's way to the dumpster! Bring on the Neem oil!

I'm very excited to get some pollen from this boy. :) Thanks to my friend for his contribution to bobblebeans! :) The community will appreciate your contribution.

Bobblebeans, lmao!

lol... It's the name of my pollen chucking company. :)

I'm working on a Grape Skunk F3 Freebie project. Flowering out grape skunk, sourbubble, chronic, and sugar cane kush boys right now in addition to the Straw D.

I also have Reservoir Hindu Kush, and Chrome's Kush IBL. I don't know what my plans are with those just yet, but my understanding is that they should be great breeding tools. :) So many ideas...
