My Ikea growdrobe

Hi all!

I am a first time newbie grower, started up 3 Easyryders with a dual DWC PC grow, but soon bumped into some space issues.




Then bought a "much bigger" Ikea grow cabinet:

But soon also this cabinet got too small, so I upgraded once again!

Here are the two cabinets together, apart from the low noise from the fans you wouldnt know what really went on inside.





- Inside walls covered with mylar
- 2 x passive intakes
- 1 x 250w CFL with small wing reflector
- 1 x 125w CFL with small wing reflector
- 2 x PC fans for air circulation
- 1 x 160m3/hr ductfan
- 1 x CANfilter (CAN1500)
- 3 x 2,1 gallon / 8 litre water tanks for DWC

The great thing about these Ikea cabinets is the possibility to use these wirebaskets for SCROG. Will use it on my next run for sure!


3 more weeks at least...



Ikea cabinets are perfect for growing, I fixed up the biggest one in 1-2 days.

I'm in the process of designing my first cabinet. I'm starting small and very stealthy.

I'll be using a standard Kitchen Base Cabinet 24"d x 36"w x 30"h


with a nice wooden countertop on it.


It will even be on wheels (because, why not?)


I'm still working out the interior and it is still not final that I'll be using this exact cabinet, but it seems very likely. I'm picking up a Stanley BlowerFan on Thursday to test out my venting and scrubbing ideas. If the cooling and scrubbing works out, it will be either a 250 CMH or 400 CMH vertical bulb in the center.

I started my design ideas working with the ClostMaid stuff from Walmart or HomeDepot but everybody seems to hate how hard they are to seal up. This ikea cabinet will be MUCH easier to deal with, and give me more total grow room to boot.

If only they offered a 39" cabinet frame

nice closet....are you using those wire baskets as a scrog yet?

I've gotta start shopping Ikea. They make the best grow cabs.
