Greetings!
Here's a simple exhaust muffler that didn't cost me a thing, added to a noisy 120mm AC powered exhaust fan.
What's used:
A pot (pot too is required )
Plastic water bottle (you can use a metallic mesh too)
Duct Tape
Soldering tool
A knife
A pillow
How it was done:
1- Un-stuff the pillow enough to fill the gap between the bottle and the pot.
2- Cut the bottom of the pot using a knife to fit the exhaust fan.
3- cut the top & the bottom of the bottle.
4- Use the heated soldering tool to make holes in the bottle
5- Attach the bottle to the fan by using duct tape
6- Insert the pot (make sure there's no air leaking, I used Silicone to cover the gaps)
7- Stuff the empty area well enough with the pillow stuffing.
8- Use duct tape to cover it.
Enjoy the noise reduction! 8]
