Uh oh? Calyxes or the dreaded nanners?!?

Hi Everyone.
SO close to harvest...noticed this last night-and even more pronounced today. This (as you probably know by now) is my first try, and quite frankly, I am FREAKING OUT over this.

Do I have a problem? If so, what do I do?

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Oaksterdam Purple (FINALLY, it's turning purple!!)

Are those calyxes or do I have the hermie thing going on?

All the white on top appeared almost overnight.

Yes, I have a cat. The fan has been blowing around fur at times, and rather than remove it now, I've left it there until I harvest-I see a few amber trichomes, but not like I expected. Quite a few of the trichome stems are brown though...on some plants but not others (different strains)

Although I'm also in the home stretch of my first grow, I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't worry about it.
All I see are calyxes swelling, my plants are doing the same thing.
Lots of strains pop a few balls in the last week or so anyways; it isn't anything to worry about. Even if they do drop pollen, chances are you're going to be killing the plant soon and it won't affect potency or yield and definitely won't grow seeds.
Gorgeous plants, though. They look super healthy. I have to say, the final week to harvest on my first grow is going to be the slowest week of my life.
Enjoy your harvest!

Time is standing still for me as well, ARGH. We're in the same boat!

Thanks for the compliment, it's much appreciated! I'm still trying to figure out when to actually harvest, hopefully someone with far more wisdom than me will take a look? I thought the hermie monster had arrived, I was freakin' out there!

Yup, I have cats, said so in my first post. Doesn't seem to matter what ya do, a few cat hairs get in the air and end up in there...grrrr.

OK, so now that I am TOTALLY relieved-(I wasn't aware that I'd end up with all of those calyxes) how long does that usually go on?

I thought I had a good idea of when I'd harvest, but now I am not so sure. I hope that makes sense?

Thanks for the compliments and good words! All this from two 48" HO florescent lights. Now that I am stoked about. The Oaksterdam purple seems to be getting more purple by the hour.

Wow that is really funny, did anyone else crack up at this?....lol....

Anyways about your harvest situation. There is no better time to harvest a plant until she (the plant) tells you to harvest. I know the breeders have length established in terms of weeks but the only real way to tell if a plant is truly ready is by checking the trichomes. Some people like more milky triches, some people like 50% milky 50% amber some people like more amber. Its all preference but for the most part people like 50/50 and to see that; in most cases, you need a cheap microscope or pocket loop. If your near or around a Radio Shack they stock an inexpensive pocket microscope for under $20 with a light on it that magnifies from 30x to 100x. Anyhow, like I said, let the plant tell you when she is ready.

What do you guys think of this, day 27 of flower. i've never seen bud formations look like this so early, although this plant is by no means a normal plant. One of the biggest i've ever grown.
