Giving my first try at a new idea. A cage SCROG.

Here are some pics from Week 1. I will add new ones as time goes by. Just starting these babies under a 250MH in a General Hydroponics Rainforest unit. Basically its an aeroponic/Deep water unit. I will then transfer to an 4x8' Ebb and Flow table using just hydroton for flowering.

Here are some new pics from the start of week 2. This will be the last week before I transplant to the ebb and flow table. I'm then going to veg for another 2 weeks while training the plant into the screen's.

Here is VEG week 3. Just placed them into the finishing room. Im going to veg for another 2 weeks and the flip to 12/12.

Here are the latest pics, in the middle of week 4 of veg. I have never done a SCROG before so I would appreciate any suggestions....Also was going to flip to 12/12 next week but think I might need some more veg time.

Was thinking another week, any opinions??

So from what I can see, you will train the plants up and around the bulbs? From 2 sides I assume?

Nope just from the bottom. This strain grows so fast and tall I was hoping the plants on the bottom could totally wrap around the bulb. It streches for about 3 weeks after 12/12

I think you will enjoy HG. Nice crystals but it really needs 9 weeks to get AAA. 8 and the buds still are abit immature.

Yes, without topping I have one HG at 2 weeks flower at a stable height of 3 feet.

Here is Thursday of week 5 of veg. Gonna trim off some of the lower flower sites and branches and flip to 12/12 this weekend.

hey mate - plants look nice and healthy - good luck with your scrog.

what size is your mesh? looks quite small fom the pics which can make the training a bit more difficult - or are you keeping all the tops on the other side of it?

VerdantGreen: The mesh is about 1 cm. Yes. I was planning on keeping all of the growth on the far side of the mesh until about 2- 2.5 weeks into flower. I was also gonna trim all the lower flower sites and small branches beneath the mesh. Any advice?
