If Weed Became Legal

Are you going to miss being part of the group who supported and/or actively fought for the justice of the marijuana plant and its laws? Personally, i think i would miss being part of that group. If weed became legal, then the public is going to be educated to some degree about marijuana and its injustices in the past. No longer would i see myself as being somewhat special for seeing past lies and propaganda which has led so many towards total abashment of the plant. It'd be sort of hard too, to single out those who had figured the truth out for themselves, from those who just wholeheartedly accept whatever law is passed. Of course, i support legislation which allow for the responsible use of marijuana, and which lifts any silly bans on the plant. But honestly, to some degree, i would feel a little less special. I hope i made some sense.
So, how do you think you'd feel? Submerged in complete bliss because it is wholley legal and you can toke peacefully? Annoyed ecause some of your idiot friends are bragging about how powerful the Purple Dro is? Pissed off because the decades youve spent breeding your own strains, are now being offered alongside a dozen others at the club down the street? Whats the deal?

I would feel really special. very warm and fuzzy. Then I would open my own buisiness based around making it like fine wine and fine dining.

If weed became legal I would be overwhelmed trying to help all the people who are going to try and set up their own grows. Can you imagine how many people will flood onto IC trying to figure out how to do what it is that we do. We will all be rockstars!

Don't worry, there's always going to be more lies and propaganda to dispel. Politics, religion, pseudoscience, etc...

Hehe, i didnt think of how it would affect IC. Activity and business will soar i presume. Things will be up and beyond around these parts..

Hmm, now that ive thought about it a little more, this is probably just something im feeling within myself. People who know me know i have something for mary jane.. Hm, i guess it may be that, in the event of legalization, theres probably going to be a lot of people who will take marijuana for granted.. While those who have supported it before its legalization, are only those who have a similar respect and amour for the plant.. Those who were at the frontline may be washed out as MJ and MJ culture becomes commonplace. Of course, I think people like Sam the skunkman and Dj Short (please excuse my ignorance i do not have such an indepth knowledge of marijuana pioneers) and other revered figures in the MJ community, will continue to be cherished for their unique knowledge about cannabis.. But those of us who are a bit more common folk, but are passionate about marijuana, may lose a special status reserved for themselves as they become, well, no longer that special. Hmm, I dont mean to bore anyone, but im just trying to articulate my thoughts. I feel im getting a bit too deep into this and have lost my train of thought. In conclusion, weed may not be as special as it was because you will see the shit everywhere!

I think that those of us that have a join date before legalization will have our own little clique going. Not that we won't help other newcomers:joint:

If weed would be relegalized, I would wait outside a prison with fatties and welcome the released POWOD in to their new freedom and thank them for what they did for us.

^- Agreed, but thats besides the point. Im not saying we shouldnt make it legal, i want it to be, but does nobody else feel a tiny sense of .. uniqueness knowing that, relative to the rest of the world, we're pretty far and few in between?

^ I get your point but I think it is a bit selfish. Hey it's not like if weed becomes relegalized that there would be no injustices left.
There's plenty of other things to fight for and I don't think a lot more people will start to grow anyway.
You either love this plant or not.(and from your post I know you do) illegal or not.
Just look at countries like Portugal where since decriminalization consumption went down

I'd be right pissed if the gov't legalized then took over production. The only way I want to see it legalized is if I can grow my own.

I'd be first on the list to open a coffeeshop/weed business or medical club.
