Good afternoon ICers, how are yall'!?

When i first joined IC i was kinda bummed cause i didnt have any pics of my previous grows to post and a few stood out in my mind. First just a short story on how this plant came to be.

About 15 years ago some friends of mine rented a funky little apartment in the hills. It was a coverted 3 car garage with a smell 1 bedroom apartment on top, so really only the bottm floor was converted. Anyhow we had a lot of fun at that place and i stayed with both friends in both units off and on over the years. During one of my stays with the friend who lived in the upper unit he asked me if i had ever grown my own and i said sure so he said lets grow some here and of course i agreed. I turned a little closet into a grow room using a 400 watt MH. We started several plants (all bagseed) in various containers, i remeber i was trying a couple a perlite vermiculite mix. When they were a couple weeks old my friend downstairs and i got into some sort of misunderstanding (drunken, drug induced brawl!) and he threatened to call the cops. So my friend upstairs got nervous and we shutdown our little grow. We got rid of all plants except for one. I had an old hydro system that we werent using in the closet and we stuck it in that, it was one of those "bus boy tray" style ebb & flow early Hydro farm units where one tray sits on top of the other: the upper holds the "gro rocks" and the lower is the rez. Anyhow i remember he put it in his room under a window and just kinda let it do its thing. At that piont i left town off on another adventure. About 4 or 5 months later i get a call from him saying "dude remember that plant we saved? its gotten real big, can you come back to town and help me out with it?" I said sure i was ready to go back anyhow. When i got there i couldnt believe it! The plant was about 2/3 the size it is in the pics and just starting to flower on the left side, yeah i said left side the plant was very strange it flowered from left to right, not flowering all at once, very strange. Any how i went to the hydro store and got some generic powdered nutes (i dont think we ever switched to bloom!) and helped out as much as i could, the plant was on auto pilot really, we just kinda hung out and watched it grow. Any way to make a long story short we had alot of fun with the plant and so did our neighbors and friends, we gave a bunch away, bartered with it and just had and all around good time and a bit crazy at times as well. We werent exactly the most desireable nieghbors as far as noise went but we meant no harm and amazingly none came to us as a result of growing this monster right out of an apartment window in the hills in LA. Eventually we pulled it inside cause it just never seemed to stop flowering or ripening so i got the idea to pull it in and put it under 12/12. I allready had 1 400 watter and i went and bought another one and we hung em kinda on an angle, didnt think about taking the hood off and just hangin' the bulb vertically. I still have both of those lights today, they were in storage for a long time. Hope you like the pics and my little walk down memeory lane!

peace allways

Yeah, I totally agree with sunny-- awesome story and pics. Thanks for the interesting trip down memory lane.. and a trip it certainly is. The question is: do you consider that an outdoor grow, or an indoor grow...? ;) 2 pounds ain't too shabby either-- look at that trunk! :respect:

Howdy my friends! Aint that somethin!? :yoinks: I was so excited when i found them, i was diggin for a tool in my garage and came accross a duffle bag and they were inside :woohoo: . I have been thinking about them alot lately. I dont know for sure how much it yielded coulda been more who knows. Good question ,indoor or outdoor not sure bout that either! By the time we pulled her in the whole right side, if your looking at the pic of it coming out the window, had been harvested, the main cola in the indoor pic is the big cola on the fer left in the out of the window pic. Taste ,smell, shit i can hardly remember but it was average and everyone seemed to like it ok. One of the craziest things is that it was in only 5" deep of hydroton, by about 1 1/2' x 2' rectangular tray, like a buss boy tray. Like i said that thing was on auto-pilot, it was fed generic hydro store powdered nutes (no additives) and never flushed. Would be a great ad for hydro farm if they could do that! :chin:

Im really glad you all enjoyed the pics and my little story, it really was a once in a lifetime thing. :woohoo:

Thanks guys! Im so glad your all enjoying them. It sure was a kick growin it i tell ya. Still cant believe we never had a problem with john law as we did make quite a bit of noise at that place. Hope yall' have a great day!

Oh and yes that was a 400 watter and then i added another. I think it came down not long after it was brought inside, my friends bed was right behind the plant in the indoor shot, it pretty much dominated his room.
