RE-GROW HAWAIIAN HAZE

The HawaiianGrown Haze from the Differences of Indica and Sativa thread in Breeders Forum is now in regrow.

Here are some shots for those who don't regrow to show how easy, yet weird, it really is to do a plant one (or Many) more time.


I like to leave plenty green on the plant, but I'm not in bud shortage, so harvesting the little lower buds is not a priority.

I like the weird single non-serated edge leaves the plant throws out, and how the stem just comes right out of what were once buds.

Just trim, flush, fert, 18/6 and viola, a plant that doesn't have to spend energy on roots and is already two feet high.

I was wondering about this..thanks for posting it HG...those revert leaves are a trip.

Gotta question for you, to make a long story short I have a pheno that is very special but Im having problems getting her to reveg. What are some things I can do to help her along a bit? I was thinking about trying some high N feedings, not sure what else I can do other than give her a nice enviroment.

HawaiianGrown ..... I learned about re-vegging from a good local buddy, "Captain Daffy", that grew on the windward side of Oahu, many years ago. He had an African Indica strain that he had been growing for many years, - it was called hash bud back then - which had aclimatized itself to the growing environment of his backyard. He had one plant that was his pride & joy, that he had grown for several years and many harvest's. I remember it being short & stumpy, with an incredibly fat main stem. It reminded me of a large bonzai pot plant. I only wish I had a pic to show everybody.

Here is a couple of +20 year old grainy pic's of what that strain looked like when grown during the short season. 90 day "stunter's" is what he called them. Way back then, before the dawn of the digital era, things were a lot different, and most grower's were not as sophisticated like some grower's are today, and especially like some here @ ICMAG.










Captain Daffy called this strain Haiku Kookoo...... ........ it tasted like mellon's, and tended to turn purple late in bloom. In all the year's I lived there, it ranked as some of the best bud I smoked...... Daffy would mumble... "Ono Bud's Brah"..... , and I can still picture him rolling a "big fat one" while sitting in his "Baby Window" V Dub........

Some of my other all time favorite's were Maui Wowie, Kauai Electric, Kona Gold, Puna Butter, and some Molokai Leper buds that Daffy had the connection for. I've said it many time's. but I'll go on the record and state it again......the best bud in the world is grown in Hawaii......period!!!! Nothing can beat the warm Hawaiian sun mixed in with the tradewind's, good volcanic organic soil, and a local master grower with a private plot of top shelf genetic's........ ....... it simply doesn't get any better......

Yeah, HB (Hash Bud), was my favourite too. 90 day wonder weed.

it was only $200 a oz back then too. I knew a guy on that side who grew such good weed that most got shipped to VIPs in Hollywood and NYC.

But since I knew the guy, I had the opportunity to access the sweetest, tastiest and, most importantly, stoniest weed around.

Now, I'm that guy, but I keep the buds local and just propogate seeds to VIPs. Funny how life works, huh?

Feeling pretty groovy after about 5 bags o vape of my new and old strains, and thought that this one needed to reach the masses. Hawaiian Haze has impressed us all here in Hawaii.

Mind the Posting rules now, but .......



Also will take a few more weeks for pruning as required.

(Re-grew faster than any strain I've grown-out or bred).

Just thought I'd fill my veg room with a bunch o' cousins.

The roots already argument has really won me over. Beats Seeds hands down and easier than cloning first. Easiest way to make Mother clones of your best. Easiest way to make feminized-seeds stressor clones of something you liked.

These Indica dominants are veggin pretty easy and stress free.

Some Afghaani are harder though, so clone those first for sure.

When I said earlier "Too Much Green, but no problem" here is what I really meant.


When the buds have produced stems, time to shave off the buds or they will rot out or mold magnet or just waste the plant mana, so time for a haircut.





















I think this next shot really shows how this plant can adapt and overcome.


bud becomes the new stem, which will become the new bud, which will become the new stem......










You know how at the heart of your buds lies a stem?

Well, with regrows, the heart of good stems has buds.

Nice...I'm liking reveggin...don't cry when you got to chop up your favorite girl..just give her a haircut and run her again..or when you find a plant that is a good momma after you see her produce..this is a great way to harvest her and then make her a veggin momma..

i know that i'm biased, and my vote probably doesn't count for much, but i'd have to agree with you there......nice plant your friedn had!

good growing hawyngrown...nice re-veg job...i've heard of guys letting there plants re-grow in the wild.....just chop off the top buds and let go/re-veg into the next season....the satlks of those plants were purported to be HUGE from the outdoor regrow....alright bro, aloha!

1st off.... EXCELLENT THREAD! Lotta great info and shots..... Now... About the above quote........

Was it ever sent to the hip hop community?? I smoked some of the sweetest ganja with Cappadonna who said it came from Hawaii....

Now..... any thoughts that the reason Hawaiian hasn't really taken off is because it HAS to be grown in Hawaii? Something about the synergy of the space.....

I know EVERYTIME I have grown Hawaiian it was NEVER as good Cappa's and in fact I have never smoked Hawaiian grown (granted, Ive never smoked Cali Hawaiian, so Ill say from the Mid Atlantic States) that was as good as ganja grown in Hawaii.....

BTW.... It was 3 years ago when I smoked the Hawaiian Grown ganja.....
