$15 CFL flowering bulb?

So I was at a local home improvement store last night, rhymes with Chrome Peephole, and I found the big ass bulbs pictured below for $15 each. While I was there I picked up a couple of their nicest clamp on lights with ceramic socket (total overkill for this bulb) for another $15 each. These bulbs are self ballasted so you can just screw them into any standard light socket and go.

I had to remove the reflector from the clamp lamp or the bulb wouldn't screw in far enough but I am thinking I will use the sockets and build a light bar with a piece of aluminum and 4 of these lights.

Let me know if you have used these and if they worked or not. I am still in veg but I am using 2 of these as supplemental light, one on each side of an eight tube 454W T5 panel.

either way i still think its a good buy cause that bulb will last about as long as one of the 125w 10,000 lumen 70 dollar bulbs that u need to buy the mogul socket for

those lights are interesting, u guys think two of them inbetween a few girls would be enough light? do they put out a noticable increase in light compared to 30waters?

I have not used the 30 watters but these things are bright and stay cool enough to grab onto so I think they would be great. And they are cheap enough you could pick up one of them to check it out.

Because of finances I think I am going to pick up either 2 or 4 more and use them to flower for this round until I can afford a CMH setup.

I have a couple of those bulbs myself. I am using them right now to veg some plants and they are working great. Instead of removing the reflector to get them to screw in I used one of those things you can screw in that adds an outlet to the light socket. So now they reach without having to remove the reflector. I got the outlet adapter from there too for like $2 each or something.

Those bulbs are insanely bright for a CFL. They've had them at my local HD since around the beginning of the year.

I bought a 65 watt cool that was a bit pricey, not bad but it's mostly a dresser light. Nothing under it at this time, just using the other ones for some peat moss tests.

Mostly some tea to see how the peat works again, it did okay with some PBP and LSD!

I picked up two more tonight and I looked around and found the extender things for $3 each, thanks for the advice.
