Sup, icmag growers....

its ya boy NiKe in here with a grow sure to make the average hobbiest drool

1st my seed stock ( some already growing, and some on the way)

GROWING: I have, White Widow, LSD,Red Diesel,Super Lemon Haze, Colombian Red, Blueberry,Bubble Gum, and i also have a G-13 Xs Haze male that im planning on crossing just about everything with.

HERE BUT NOT YET GROWING: I have, Warlock, Purple Bud, and California Orange Bud.

ON THE WAY: I have, Pink KUSH F4, and Norhtern Lights # 5 Xs Haze.

This is just the begining of this story, there will be more chapters to unfold as time progresses, and i hope to learn and maybe even teach along the way

here is a list of some of my EQUIPMENT, to keep some peeps interested...

EQUIPMENT: Just in short i have a 600 watt HPS, running a Can Fan Filter i believe is about a 270 CFM or something like that. I have 2 Flowering rooms, and 2 Vegetation Rooms, but id like to have 3 Veg Rooms so i can keep my males in one to conserve space

My areas are small. The big Veg Room is only 5 feet tall, 4 feet long, and about 24 inches wide. The same for the biggest Flowering Room.

My other rooms are just pretty much made out of card board boxes, real nice and easy set up

Lastly i also have a real nice homemade Cloning Machine, also inside of a box, but it looks real professional as u shall see later on in the pics

Thanks for tuning in hope to see u guys here later when i come bac with pics, just to spark a lil more interest here is a pic of my last hydro harvest...

If cheap 'n dirty is your preferred cab (and it certainly does have its charms and uses) drop the corrugated paper and go for corrugated plastic.

Cloroplast is waterproof, strong as hell, exceedingly light, comes in white and black - and it's very, very cheap.

coroplast.jpg

You can make a tube out of it and stand on it - that's how strong it is. Cuts nice and clean with a box cutter and a ruler; can be scored on one side to maintain strength and folded over for perfect angles. It can be glued or zip tied to a pvc frame for extra strength. You can seriously design and build with cloroplast. If you put the time and thought into it - what you make with it looks pretty damned good, too.

For growing? It's Federally certified food grade plastic which can be cleaned with just about any solvent you care to name. Wipes clean enough to eat off of. Gets real dirty? Hose it down and dry it off in the yard or balcony. Try that with cardboard sometime...

Cloroplast is pretty much damned near perfect when it comes to cheap ass functionality.

In short - wherever you get the urge to use cardboard? Don't. Use cloroplast instead. Look for it in Casa de Pot near the window section. Most commercial sign companies carry it too in a variety of colors. (White and black is clearly preferable for grow cab purposes). Double it up, white on one side, black on the other -- panda plastic style -- for exceedingly good reflectivity inside the cab and lightproofing and general stealth outside the cab.

Cloroplast comes in 4x8 sheets in a variety of colors and standard thickness is either 4 or 6 mm sheets. Cheap as hell and one of the best spit and kleenex building materials in existence.

Oh yeah: it will take more to actually cause cloroplast to burst into flame than you and your gear are likely to ever dish out.

does it go together something like legos??

No. Coroplast is the same plastic material that is often used for all weather signage in election campaigns by various candidates. Sign companies are a good source for coroplast, especially colored sheets of it. For the white stuff - hit your local Home Depot. It's in the window section of the store - near the plexiglass and screen materials.

Think of it as 4x8 heavy duty foamcore board. It can be held together with heavy duty staples, glue or tape. I recommend a combination of staples and glue. If you want to build a frame to attach it to, you can use PVC or 1"x2" or 1"x3" inch strapping -- whatever you prefer. Attach with staples or even zip ties. Clever use of zip ties can result in your attaching it on one side of the coroplast, through the cells and back out without having the zip tie penetrate both flat sides of the sheet. This helps your structure retain its air, liquid and light tight features.

To cut it, you just use an Xacto blade (box cutter). You can either cut through both sides of the material if you want it as a separate piece, or if you are making an angled corner, just cut through it lightly on one side, then bend the material to make your perfectly angled and seamless corner. If your original piece is large enough, score it again for the next corner - continue on until you run out of material. :)

Largest size sheet of coroplast I have seen is 5'x10' at 6mm thickness. It may well come in larger sizes. However, because of the material's strength, at a certain point, too large is simply too large in terms of being able to transport it to wherever you intend to use it. It doesn't fold all that well, if you take my meaning.

If you wanted to make a 2x2x4 cab, you could use one continuous sheet of this for the main 4 walls of the cab. Use another sheet to cut out separate smaller sheets to make tops and bottoms for your cab. Use the material on the lid and bottom to make fold up small "walls" for the lid and bottom, glue it together and pop em on. The extra reinforcement will make your instant cab very strong.

Double up with using a white sheet on the inside, black sheet on the outside - you are good to go. If you are constructing with it, do keep the thickness of the material in mind when you are cutting it if you are going to put one box inside another. (The 4mm thickness of the wall must be taken into account.)

Look at any corrogated cardboard case of soda or even Ikea packaging for inspiration as to how to cut the coroplast so that your top and bottom parts make up a 3" or 4" edge to use as small walls for reinforcement of the lid or or bottom. This is not rocket science here. It's easy stuff.

The strength of the material when folded up and taped into a square is incredible. You can literally stand on this stuff without crushing it, and I won't even ask how much you weigh - because your answer doesn't matter - it's that strong when the load is on the ends of the plastic cell corrugation.
