Stems turning purple?

Normally i see this after i kill my seedlings the plants stems turn purple and limb. Then they die. Now in this case i think maybe to much water or something because ive had alot of rain fall here with in the last 3 weeks like at least raining once a day. but the stems are all still very firm, opposte to when the seedlings die,they were limb. So whats the deal. here a burrry pic cameras messed up.

K deficiency can purple stems. Are they solid purple or vertical stripes?

pretty sure there solid purple im not a 100% and i can go check on them again for alittle bit unless its a emergency. and sorry i wanna post pics but im having problems uploading on to my comp

im not to worried about the bottom leaves turning yellow and dying? or should i be.
and notice how its still green at the bottom of the stalk

Low temps can also bring on purple stems. Could be partly because of all the rain, it cools down the air which means lower temps at night etc. I would not worry too much about it unless the plant starts looking sick. No need to worry about the yellowing lower leafs, the plant is just relocating the energy to where it's needed. She does look a bit hungry though so maybe you should feed her. The rain might have flushed all the nutrients out of the soil if you kept her outside during this time.

You could also fill up the pot with more soil, that way you will get adventitious roots growing on the part of the stem that is now exposed. More roots equals more mass which in turn means that you get more bud.

She's a nice looking plant, best of luck :yes:

appericate the help. you keep saying "her" are you seeing sex any where on it? because i havent seen anything yet. hope for a female though is strong have 2 clones =)

That planter still has its run-off saucer attached.
Plastic planters come with those attached, but if you pull hard enough they'll pull right off leaving you with a regular planter with three more drainage holes.
Pull that saucer off that planter so it can drain properly, then feed, it's very hungry

ps...try to keep those pine needles from getting blown onto the soil..cough

Looks hungry to me too ... and maybe a tad bit strangled like 10K said ... it looks like there's some unwanted plants beginning to grow in your container as well ...

Check your pH runoff. If it's below 6.5, you'll get Mg and Ca problems. Those faded leaves still have green veins and the spot looks like a slight Ca def. Did you lime yer mix?

Weed cloth will help keep the needles from collecting inside the pot. Pine needle runoff is as low as 3 or 4. Excess water hinders N uptake. 10k is right, remove the saucer and excess water will be less of a problem.
