indica makes me speedy. and im couchlocked on diesel right now

stuff affects me opposite i swear! maybe its adhd or hyperactivity, but stimulants do not stimulate me in the traditional way. and this goes beyond smoking grass, think of some other late night party favors, same goes for them.

i was looking at the favorite nighttime smoke thread, and thought to myself how all of those indica strains would have me wide awake till after 3am guaranteed. i smoke a very dense afghan dominant strain during the day (sk2in my albums) and feel total euphoria and bliss from it, never tired. sams thsk freebies put me to sleep every time i tried it. i figured daytime smoke, safe bet, and i ended up passing out all afternoon! good sleep BTW.

so i guess haze is my bedtime smoke. am i the only freak in the world like this?

depending on the time of day the buzz will likely be different.. that's how it is for me anyway.. everything feels heavier in the afternoon, but the same thing at night gets me going

i havent smoked lui or heri-j, but have considered running lui. sams thxsk1 is the only true sativa ive run, and i think the deez is sat dom. they both knock me out.

yes, it is very satifying to find the med that works for me, regardless of breeder descriptions or how the same grass affects others. i didnt realize i was self medicating w indica for so long. but when described to me that way by a mental health professional, i completely agreed. dense afghan nugs make me extremely productive for daytime activities, and makes everything much more enjoyable as well.

I've got the same thing whodair, I smoke heavy indicas and i dont get tired even BHO doesn't make me tired. Also when i smoke only one of my eyes gets red

I'm not a doctor, but I think you are probably one of the people where ritalin makes you focused and relaxed, whle an ordinary person finds ritalin to do the opposite. Calling it hyperactivity makes it sound like something is wrong with you, which isn't necessarily the case. I've know lots of people who had inverse drug interaction. They found cocaine to be relaxing and Nyquil kept them up all night. Every one of them was a high activity individual.

Your not crazy, your just a little different than the majority.

I also know someone who has reversed electrical polarity. Electronic watches just stop working on her wrist. Without an anti static floor mat, her computer crashes daily.

I have always had somewhat of a 180 degree take on this as well. The general rule was always broadleaf in the morning during working hours and no Thai before the end of the day, or else. For me the comedown matters most. Generally speaking, the broadleafs leave me feeling refreshed a couple hours down the road and the potent up narrows can really wipe me out for the rest of the day- Mexicans etc, etc. A well timed tropical smoke can be a very nice set-up for an excellent nights rest imo, of course it is all subjective.

this morning i hit a very wide leaf afghan called sk2. its not speedy like coffee or crack, but it makes my mind focused and sharp. as an encore ill do something hazey at bedtime and see how long it takes to pass out...

I used to make music (for years and years) with a guy who loved to get stoned - so he ate a lot of LSD. Never smoked pot, though, it made him trip out. He hated tripping.

He was definitely neither lying nor faking... I've known dude for 16 years now. It's just the way those drugs interact with his brain. 2 hits of acid, and he's mellow and goofy for 8 hours. It's nuts.

I actually (and don't ask for links, this is being dredged out of deep-brain) recall reading about a study a few months back where one particular gene was found to cause subjects to process a drug (clinical trial IIRC?) differently based on something like 1 of 7 expressions of the gene.

Why not assume the same principle holds true for other drugs? That way, you have some clinical evidence for your experience.

Very interesting thread, whodair. It reminds me why I get so pissed off whenever a thread pops up from time to time about depression/anxiety being treated (NOT CURED) w/cannabis. The topic brings out the know-it-alls as a steamy pile of shit draws flies.

Everyone is different. Cannabis helps some with certain illness and others not. And what you're saying is true in my own house. Percocet relaxes myself and several of my children while it agitates my wife and another child. Anti depressants work for some members of my family and for me, they scrambled my brain chemistry and made me suicidal years ago.

Cannabis is the only thing that works on my PTSD/depression.

Sorry if this attracts the flies into your thread.

I have much better luck with indicas too, but it depends on the indica in question, heh heh! Both slyder and maple leaf indica taken early are freakin' awesome for me, total euphoria, weightless feeling while walking around the house kinda stuff with a crystal clear come down 2-3 hours later. BUT - other indicas knock me the fuck OUT. I tried dutch passions blueberry years ago, and it was completely crippling, even samples at 40-45 days made me go BAM! - out, or at least unable to function, same with most of the other afghani's I've tried. Others may have a nice buzz, but leave you with a nasty strung out hangover-like fog that sticks around for another 24 hours...

If you've found a nice euphoric strain for you, remember to KEEP IT! LOL

We're all unique to a certain degree, and it can be tricky to find something that works well for you and your own unique desires/chemistry/blah blah blah...

Congrats on finding yours.
