Looks like a mag issue. A quick fix would be the following:
stinkyattic said:
A light foliar feed with epsom salts at 1/2 teaspoon per quart, plus one drop dish soap, applied daily for the next few days...
To really solve the problem, you will need to answer some questions.

What is your tap water pH before you add anything to it?
Do you have a TDS meter? If so what is the TDS reading of your tap water?
Are you following Hesi's nute schedule?
Are you changing your reservoir regulary?

A quick note : Just get the regular Epsom salts, available from most stores and pharmacies. Nothing fancy or lavender scented.

What is your tap water pH before you add anything to it? I use bottled water at a ph of 7.55
Do you have a TDS meter? If so what is the TDS reading of your tap water? not sure how it works it has 4 readings 0.6 ec ,300 ppm ecx500, 6 cf or 420 ppm ecx700 would realy like to understand how to use properly.
Are you following Hesi's nute schedule? yes exactly every nute they have
Are you changing your reservoir regulary? changed it before i started flowering just starting 6th week. thanks

I'm almost certain that you're either locking out mag or it's just lacking. The foliar epsom salt solution will bypass the lockout, and should get you through flowering.

You should be changing your res every 2 weeks at the minimum. If you don't, the solids in your solution will build up and cause problems like lockouts, salt/nute-burn and pH creep. The hard, bottled water that you're using isn't helping matters.

So those are my recommendations for now, foliar epsom and a res change.
I'll get back to you tomorrow with some suggestions for your next hydro run and I might even be able to help you use your Tds meter :)

6.5 ph is the problem I think, that's just high enough to start locking up mag. Drop your PH down to about 5.8.

That's MUCH better. Do that light foliar mist to keep the problem from getting worse. The dead patches won't heal, but the problem will stop spreading with the source of it fixed.
And last, make sure that your res is not sitting on a cold floor, and that it is at about room temperature.

per quart? anyone know if this means per litre?
It's about the same. 1 quart = 1/4 gallon, 4.5 litres in a gallon, so about 1.1 litres per quart.

The dose for epson salts is rough, it's about 1 tablespoon per gallon. 3 teaspoons per gallon, so about 3/4 teaspoon per litre. I use about a level teaspoon per litre for soil drench, about 1/2 teaspoon per litre for misting.

Sorry for disappearing on ya, iboga. Here in the Inner Baronies, we have problems with the innerwebs sometimes.

Nite Tiger covered the first point I was going to raise (pH), and you took care of my 2nd point (tap water), so I guess the only thing left is explaining your meter.

EC is the electrical conductivity. It measures how much dissolved matter is in your solution. All of the other measurements are converted from this. This is measured in siemens per centimeter(s/cm).

TDS is your total dissolved solids. This is measured in parts per million(ppm). Different meters use different standards to convert ec into tds. Your meter gives tds readings for 2 different standards, which is kind of nice.

When someone asks for your nute concentration, the correct answer would be either your EC reading(.6) or your TDS reading plus the standard you are using (300ppm @ecX500) or (420ppm @ ecX700).

To make matters more confusing, there is also a conversion factor that some people use. The conversion factor for your readings that are ecX500 is .5 The conversion factor for your readings that are ecX700 is .7
So the answer to the question of "What is your TDS?" could also be [email protected] or 420 [email protected]
