You grew those so well JUST to shame my grows, didn't you?Don't deny it,I heard the rumors.LOL
You're not the only victim Hardhat! :D

Despite that I won't stop posting pics of my lost souls. Here's an overview of the Haze Special, two Ecuadorians and the three TMB ladies. And some close-ups of the TMB male and the three ladies especially for LMN. On top of that another close-up of the Haze Special, whether you like it or not... :muahaha:

Good growing all...

floppy: Dude that doesn't look very sativa to me...

Here's a shot of my Thai. Hasn't shown sex yet. I've got two others that look very similar, also sex unknown...maybe next month!

@ oblidio. on the spiraling technique. it can definitely be done but it takes alot of training. I heard about a guy years ago localy that had put that white fencing or trellis or whatever (the stuff that is white fence like pattern, you can grow roses up the side of your house with them) and he wove the weed through the holes up the side of his house. he said the side of his house was covered in a wall of nugs, but the distance from the fence in the backyards just made it look like any other kind of green growth working up the trellis.

I assume he didn't have a bright neon green plant. proabably a more common green one.

as for the growing in small pots. it really is a skill that has to be mastered. at OG a few weeks before it got shut done I had started up the "Ultimate Sativa Grow Thread" dealing specifically with growing sativas in small pots and training and feeding regimens but it got shut down.

perhaps if BH, bonecarver, herbalistic, mad scientist, raco, etc. are interested in helping we can all band together and start one up here again. I'm a lil busy at this very minute but I'm down a lil later.

@ floppy. I don't know what to tell you. she's an odd looking lil plant. def hybrid. I don't know what she is gonna do for you.

Speaking of which, has anyone ever noticed pure sativas growing wider leaves because of stress?

I have these two Ecuador plants from 'brickseed' and they've both had a hard time in the wet Dutch outdoor climate. The two plants showed quite different development, one producing tine very wide leaves and staying sqat, the other big and long fingered leaves instead. At first I thought they were two different phenos, but now that the plants grow bigger and healthier they start to resemble each other more and more. The new growing tips are almost equal and it strikes me that two plants that started life so differently have now found balance and start to look alike.

What I'm trying to say is that despite the fact that Floppyfundanglr's plant may look like a typical hybrid right now, could it be that this growth pattern may be disturbed and it could turn out to show its typical sativa traits later on after any possible stress is relieved?

Here's my two Ecuadorians. Note the difference in leaf growth on the lower parts of the plants and compare that to the close-ups of the new growing tips. The newer leaves seem to be very much alike, when at first I could have thought the smaller plant to be indica by judging from the leaf shape. Pretty deceiving aye...?

we will see probably gonna be a while. I never have seen a plant take so long to show sex. Its not that long but its 12/12 from seed which is probably a lot different than the parent climate somwhere in mexico, so for those considerations 4-5 weeks isnt bad. Its currently dwelling under 180 watts of cfl under a heatshield. Its in a big soil box so it has some room to stretch. Doesnt really looked stressed right now as either, all organic.

peace

oh, shit I didn't realize you were uder cfl.

you know this is not a definite, but it is a possibility. Some mexican plants are used to some pretty extreme sun. I've had them indoors under 600's and the light just made wispy useless buds.

under a cfl its possible its getting fatter and fatter leaves trying to absorb enough energy to start flowering. Like I said I could be totally wrong, it might start flowering like a champ any day now, but if it doesn't it might just not be an indoor plant. it might only be able to make enough energy to do what you see. make a few new leaves.

@ madscientist. that is very interesting. I have seen that before but not quite to that degree. what I was going to say doesn't make as much sense since they were grown side by side. The different position of the sun, with lower light levels, etc is going to make your plant have wider leaves than it would back in ecuador. but why they would take on two different growth patterns then turn back uniform I don't know.

yeah it was for fun so whatever happens happens. Thanks for the help. THe preflowers really just started showing but im gonna give it a couple more weeks and see what happens. I was actually hoping this would have some hybridization partly for that reason because my space is so small. I threw one out that had really thin leaves when it was growing. So i dont know if the light intensity is a problem. The seeds presented a few different phenos most being fatter leaved but i did have one that was very sativa looking and pulled it cause i didnt want a pure sativa.

Hey everyone.

I was driving around this weekend and spotted a plant growing on the side of the road so I stopped to have a look and found about 7 nice looking plants, so I adopted 4 of them. They are all the same strain but there was different phenos so I took a thin leafed one, 2x medium leaved ones and a wider leaved one so I can have some variation.

I usually wouldn’t pick up unknown strains from the side of the road but these plants look very different to most plants I’ve seen, a lot more rugged, and stronger looking.
They’re a bit wilted now because of all the transporting around, but they are recovering.

Here’s the pics:

Wider leaved version, looks very indica in the leaves but looks like a full-on landrace sativa in it’s growth pattern, internode spacing etc. It could be one of those sativas that thins out as it matures.

Leaf from same plant as above:

Thinnest leaved version:

The medium leaved pheno was far to wilted so I didn’t take a pic cos it wouldn’t of given it any justice, I will when it’s recovered though.

So what do you guys think, worth collecting? They look like they could be of African decent. And no, we don't get wild hemp growing around these parts so I don't think it is unless someone threw seeds down.
Regards as always,
Ah.

Haha are you sure you didn't ruin someone's guerrilla grow there? :D

Exciting story though. It would be nice to see what they'll do. Good luck!

Great find man.Lol,that would be a wierd spot for a grow.I currently have 4 mature plants in flower and six seedlings that I dug from our local fishing holes.I,ve already grown out 2,one was average and the other was extremely potenent.Wished I had of used it for a mom now.Do you plan on taking clones from them looking for keepers or just playing aound and seeing how they turn out? They look great by the way.Good Luck

The place where I was gonna do an outside grow this year is currently in the middle of a 40 square mile forest fire. I had to do some things for a friend back in May or I would have a grow that would probably now be burned up, dead from the 90+ heat and severe drought.......or discovered :(

hehe poor guerilla growers.. ppl ripping plants all over the planet..
Rofl!!So it would seem, but no.My favorite place to hang out on my off-days is a haven for red-neck-beer-drinking-dope-smoking-heads of all ages, shapes and sizes. And yes, that was prolly an accurate self-description.But,it is really a fairly decent fishing hole,no telling how many joints get rolled or how many seeds are thrown in the sand.

This little pic was taken when I found my first batch this past spring.About 6 ft from the water.

And here is one of 'em when a few weeks before finishing,it went hermie.

Peace

Read this thread up :rasta:
Never had anything to contrib till now. Posted in the worldwide guide section also.

So this 'OG' I was picking up in Kerala, a bit of a report.
Buds were small tight sativa nugs. Mostly sensimilla, though some were lightly seeded.
Scent was a sweet earthy type smell with resiny caramel tones opening up when you crumble it.
Taste was incredible in pure joints, so smooth. Like chocolate on the lungs.
Burnt down evenly.

And Lastly HIGH :joint:
Great Holiday weed, energetic brain weed. Smooth and into the head it goes soaring, fitting perfectly with my want to explore.
Smoke more and just fly higher.
I'm not normally prone to paranoia but in a strange place having a puff can sometimes leave me hiding in my room. Not from the 'OG'. Very Nice :rasta:

Peace Sativa Lovers :joint:

Yea, LOL. It's funny you aksed, When I went to go look at what I had spotted, I found about 7 plants like I mentioned, but they were in a line about 2m apart, but then I started noticing smaller ones randomly growing. They were in full view of everyone but they blended in with small weeds growing around them, they were in incredibly hard pack soil (battled to get the spade in) as well so the root ball was non existent, just one long tap root with a few small feeder roots coming off. So I’m pretty surprised they made it.

Here is the medium leaved pheno as I promised, She perked up today and is doing well:

Better shot of thinner leaved pheno’s leaves, as she also perked up a bit more:

All of them together, the containers were all I could get my hands on at the time. They will be put into pots with good soil as soon as they’re strong enough:

Cheers

Hell yeah, that's the best idea for a thread I've heard in a while. Definitely hope to see it going soon
