Just a headsup for all you kiwis-
don't use TUI ORGANIC COMPOST, it fuckin kills your plants.

I was using it last grow mixed with worm castings, and the moment I repotted into it from the smaller pots the everything just came to a standstill. All the colour drained out, leaves died and growth slowed right down. I perservered till harvest trying all sorts of different shit, more nutes, less nutes clean water flush, nothing helped.
When I popped some seeds this time same thing happened, seeds popped in the compost ok but when they put down roots they hated it. I changed all the seedlings out to some stock standard homebrands soil mixed with worm castings and within a day they were picking up- now they're practically busting out their pots.

I probably should have picked it earlier but I thought, it's organic how hot can it be?

Don't buy it.

Hey y'all - just dropping in to say hi.

I'm a long time lurker, but started growing this year. My first bag seed grow hermied, so I chopped it. Now have 5 Mandala seeds on the go.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tui mix Farmer Green, isn't that the warewhare brand?

The hardest thing about growing in NZ is that we can't buy any of the international brand stuff - any one want to help decide on a definitive indoor soil mix using local ingredients?
