Looks alot like the Sour Bubble I've smoked. From what I understand there are many a similarities.

I've got some Sour Bubble bx4 from the last time I met with the old man. I'm looking to run them side by side a nice Bubba cut.

This is the Sour Bubble the old man grew. Thankfully, I smoked it all. :joint:



Has anyone else run these strains side by side?

Ohenry- my thoughts as well... reminded me of the Sour Bubble bx2 that I tested for bog.... No clue on how the smell/taste relates... we really need to get smell-o-vision on this site....

Heyw hats up jimmy nice bubba, but i dont know if that is the pre 98 cut its claimed to be. here sa pic i saved of a bubba grown by igt of a verified cut of pre 01 bubba. i think the earliest bubba source has had it since 1998.

well anyway heres a shot for comparison.

it's funny, i was the one that coined pre98 to tell the difference between the online katsu cut and one which i received through a good friend who got it round 98..i had to do this so that i could run the 4 bubba cuts i had to make a final decision on the keeper pheno...the katsu cut was termed pre2k1, b/c that was when katsu's source got the bubbas he spread. the above cut looks exactly like the pre2k1, which is a great cut and very similar to the pre98. danky dank, im smokin some right now. :)

More Kush confusion.
I'm starting to think the Bubba I have is the purple Bubba. But I really don't know.
It definately has a purple taste after a long cure. a purple coffee Kush taste. And the Bubba I smoked from the club one time a year ago was way better tasting, IMO. Not so purple flavored and more of a complex taste. More of a soapy spicey berry kush taste.
But I really don't know for sure.
What do you guys think.
The one I have is the one that Motarebel used in his hyrids.

Does anyone know which is the green pheno and which is the purple pheno?
I'm begining to think that old OG I had is really just another Bubba pheno.
But it does taste like lemony Kush. So it's very confusing.
Let me ask this...is there any Bubba pheno's that are kind of lemony coffeeish Kushy chemmy tasting? I must say that if I had to choose between my old OG and my Bubba. I would choose the old OG I have(if it even is OG) The high is better ,the taste is better. It's just better all around, for me. But I don't really know what it is now. I'm just as confused about all these Kush hybrids as I ever was. Been trying to figure it out for a good 2 years now and I don't know much more then I did before that.
Just alot of maybes and possibilities. Nothing concrete.

well i ahve the pre-98 and the katsu running side by side and you can completly see the differences.. the katsu has more of a stretch and a reach . more space between the internodes.. the pre-98 stays short and squat almost no reach and very little stretch... same age. same light same nutes same grow medium. and different smells. the pre-98 is straight up chocolate coffeehash, katsu is more coffee mintwith a hashy undertone imo....dusty that pic is of the pre2k1 katsu cut.
