bug, They were in pro-mix until into the final containers...then I had coco around..so a mixture.

Hugh, When do you usually notice this claw? On my "to do" list today was a couple of pics of some of her fan leaves. Think I have the same thing but it just started in the last few days. Will post a few pics to make sure we are talking about the same kind of thing. :tiphat:

honestly im not sure, once it kicks into flower it usually appears, I've tried reducing N, reducing overall feeding strength, still the claw but it sure don't affect the end result lol

when I grew indoors with coco and promix (about 10 yrs)
I would flush heavy before the bloom cycle to start the bloom feed and to flush the extra nitrogen out and the plant can use some of what it has stored. leaf claw is usually a over fert. of nitrogen especially if the strain has a good % of sativa

hope it helps

Update:

SST is getting a little out of control, doesn't matter how many leaves I cut off, they grow back within 2 days heh. Almost done filling the scrog, flipping today.

Also cloned it and made some mothers. 1 will end up the mother and the other 3 will prob just go into the tent to flower, never done soil before. Seems too easy compared to DWC haha.

Yeah i know what u mean about out of control, and as fast as you remove a leaf another one pops up.so i dont know what to do eith cuttings.if i take them the first day of 12/12 in 70 days there to big.if i take them in the middle of flowering cycle there harder to root and take for ever.maybe seeds from now on

Yeah it's really, really hard to do a timed perpetual with only 1 tent. Basically, if you just keep topping them and training them, paired with not providing a lot of light, you can keep them down in size. You can almost always cut away a lot of the plant and it'll be fine, it just FEELS so wrong throwing away all that growth lol.

i hate throwing away perfectly good clones, just cause i already have enough to get by,yet i still wanna thin clean them out some more..:whee:

Need a clone recycling program haha. Does anyone compost their cuttings and use it for soil in the future? I don't know anything about it, just curious. I'll tell ya one thing, don't throw those cuttings in the trash! I assume everyone thinks about that, but hey, maybe someone doesn't. Can't be too careful and plant matter burns real easily once dry :)

Buckets - have you considered doing some topping and training so that you get more even tops? Looks like a lot of light is getting blocked, and perhaps with tying down some outside branches that are shooting up, you could balance it all out and get even coverage, at least better than now, without a scrog?

aint that the truth i hate throwing out nice cuts/clones but if i dont, then i end up with a bunch of root bound clones in 8oz cups:laughing:
i throw some plant matter in my worm ben. burn the rest.

actually if you split the flowering period in half its quite simple to do a 2 crop perpetual in one area, ive done it for years without trying to keep them small, it allows me to pull a crop every 30-35 days, only 2 feeding schedules to keep track of and no waiting 60-70 days. if you're trying to pull one down any quicker though it can be a pain keeping track of multiple plants at different stages

Care to elaborate? I'd love to not have 60-70 days between crops, but rather one harvest monthly. I consider myself pretty smart but seem to have a mental block on EXACTLY the schedule you'd have to keep, how long to veg, are you throwing away a round of clones and then keeping one thus alternating, etc?

Simple.
(In my room, for example..) i put 8 plants on one side, 30 days later i put 8 on the other side. Every 30 days 8 come out and and 8 veggers go in. I have 2 rez's hooked up, one for each side. I never run out of weed...

Can you explain the timeline involving the mothers and clones though please? Do you have a veg area, how long are they in veg before flower, are you throwing away cuttings, etc?
