China Syndrome and Sour Purple

Yes, they're quite leggy. They're topped out and tied down. I'll reveg and get some cuts going and try again with less veg.

The solo cups won't help yield this time but the buds look very dense. A good scrog or even LST will make all the difference.

They're stuffed in the back of the cab for the extra headroom. I'll get some pics in the next few days when I get some real estate freed up and can get em out. Sorry for the reporting delays. :redface:

Smells like fresh limes and trichs are forming nicely. Last stuff I had that looked as dense was rock bud - a little goes a long way.

Looks like the SP pollen had at least an influence in appearance as I can't tell TCS from SP w/o looking at the tag. Will be interesting to compare smells and tastes. I fully expect TCS to be a keeper and wouldn't be at all surprised keeping the SP around as well.

Lets see... I've got 1 TCS female and 3 Sour Purple females. One of the SPs grew pistils our of a stamen. I was inclined to snip it off and observe the progress but they're a little crowed in the back of the cab and I can't check em out very well. I reluctantly culled it.

Everything else is all smiles except for the cab's low headroom. The fans aren't unusually big but the stems are long. In my experience this typically translates to short bushy plants and that's part of the reason I vegged too long, lol. I always veg too long.

They'll be great soggers for tents and larger setups. I think I'll try a scrog or lst next.

out of 6 TCS I have 4 that I think are female... in like 2 & 1/2 or 3 gallons of soil... and will probably be going into 5 soon... I am about to set up my 1K, fans, AC and flip them soon also, after I top and take cuts. by the looks of things... they're gonna be big!

Your TCS and SP are looking pretty frosty... can't wait to see more!

Wow DB those look great! I am also test growing out the TCS. I am about 3 going on four in Veg right now. This thread is a great resource for me and what to expect over the next month or so. Infi has also been/is of great guidance to me. I am current starting 20 Heavens Delight out of the 65 beans Infi has sent to grow out. Will be starting a testers thread for these on the weekend. The 6 week TCS is making my mouth water looks so frosty and nice. Looking forward to more updates!

I would be surprised if either of them went beyond 9 weeks and they should both definitely be done by 10... I think I can already see some calyx's swelling on the china syndrome which to me is a better indication of ripeness than pistil or trich color especially with TCS!

if there is a better cab grower... I would be very impressed... you got me thinking of becoming a cabby

On the china syndrome, If it were me, I would wait a few days to a week to see if it continues to produce anymore resin and or stronger smells... if not... chop her!... same goes for SP #1, looks like she needs no more than a week or so too.

SP #'s 2 and 3 definitely look to go a full 9 maybe #3 could go even longer... I wonder how dark she'll get, crazy foxtaling too!

TCS has a purple stalk and fan stems. I never know what's genetics versus defs, lol.

TCS looks like it's getting close. Some of the lower buds are losing their pistils and have the toasted look. The cola bud is still putting out. I'll leave it a bit and see what happens.

I'll let the purp go longest to see what happens. They're definitely stanky, kinda like dead animal funk.

These seem to put out pretty good, especially considering they're in party cups. I'm betting you'll be pleased with the yield, not to mention the density.

I'm getting the same purple red veining on my TCS too... so I think it is genetic

I meant to edit my post last night but got to tired...

I was looking at the pics and wondering if they were still pumping out bud due to the proximity to the light... and on second thought maybe they are closer to being done. :dunno:

all I know is I hate when I over mature my buds... and I don't want any of my observations to cause you pick at the wrong time.

you know these plants and what you like from your smoke best... so take them when you think they are ready... what I know for sure though is that the chernobyl and Sour Bubble both are IMO best at 10% or less amber!

if you run them again... I'd be interested to see how purple they would get and see if the fox tailing/ regrowth would be minimized by flipping them sooner... there by keeping them further from the lights?

I can't wait to hear what you think of the smoke... likely as much as you can't wait to get to smoking!

The China Syndrome - ~ 60 days. This one took full-strength bloom booster with no fox tailing.

As soon as it's dry I'll post a smell/taste report.
