Hey SH, when you ate the waxy honeycombs, did you ever end up eating some hidden bee pupae? If so, how were they? Honeycombs looks like they'd be killer, but not the pupae part...
I imagine that you'd have to spit out some chewed wax, kind of like those wax punch bottles from the 70s.
yeah it can happen.unfortunately my queen swarmed on me so i didnt get a good harvest.its a nice little hobby though.might try again next spring.gotta mail order them. its been a while
gonna tell you all a secrect. Royal Jelly. best thing in the world you can eat. a queen cant become a queen without it.

A friend gave me a bunch of bees wax some 20 years ago that her dad raised, still using it today. Good stuff for sure.
