Ok.....here we go.
First.....This goes out to all those people over the years that have been there helping out...Suby/jinx, Burn1, 3LB, LC, 3BM, Jaykush and of course Dr. Ingham's boyfriend Smurf.
Hello, my name is Vonforne. I have done very little as far as complete grows go that are documented in a grow along. So, I guess this will be the first complete grow along for me. I hope you all can contain your laughter.
Second.......
We do not have ANY grows going in here. Indoor has them and the chem dogs have them but we don't. So, I will start one for the Organic peeps here.
Here goes...... pull up a chair.
My soil mix:
I will be using a peat based mix, I have mixed the base substrate up and it is cooking right now.
It is: I measure my parts in bags (1 cu. ft) or 44 quarts for the peat
Worm castings are about 16 liters.
40% peat + 1 cubic ft. of Organic composted peat for the micros
30% perlite(add until I plunge my hand in easy)
20% Mushroom compost(two bags)
10% worm castings (homemade)
Organic peat moss(4-44 qt bags), Composted Organic peat (1 44 qt. bag), Worm castings (fresh 20 lbs), Mushroom compost ( 2 40 lb bags),
Here is a pic of the mix #1
I use a tea to inoculate this mix. It consisted of a tea with the ingredients of Worm castings, Humic acid (Safergro) liquid, Liquid seakelp and a shot of fish emulsions and molasses to feed the micro kiddies.
1st inoculate tea- 45 ml humic acid, 60 ml liquid seaweed, 60 ml fish emulsion, 1 handful worm castings in panty hose, organic molasses because it contains more micro-nutrients. Brew for 48 hours.
I used tepid water that had been aerated for 48 hours.
I will do this two or three times depending on how much the soil dries out during the "cooking" phase.
I will be growing 3 strains Stonehedge/Sagarmatha, Blueberry/Shivas Kyptonite seeds and my favorite Hill Temple Collective Sunshine #2s
The later two are F1s. And the HTC show it.
Here is a shot of the Baby BB a couple of days old.
I have place all the seedlings in the same composted soil.....all the same. I do this to see early in their life who is a nute hog and who is not.
the mix is :
50% peat with dolomite added
40% perlite
10% worm castings
and I did add a certian % of Mycorrhiza to the mix for a good start for them.
The BB and Stonies cracked open on the 17th of April and showed the first leaf sets on the 20th.
Picture is above.
Now I had some Blockhead I wanted to grow but the germ rate was really bad so I started the HTC Sunshine.
The HTC cracked the soil and took off like Olympic champions.
They are all doing great now.....here are some pics of them all
The Blueberrys are showing a Mg def. Which I am treating now. Nute hog I think. I treated this with a top dressing of dolomite, worm castings and perlite. And a light foliar spray of liquid seaweed.
The HTC caught them all and will probably out grow everything in the room.
Right now due to security and the electric consumption I will keep them under 40 grow lux floros until week 4.
The kids at about 2 weeks
continued because it won't let me post until I shorten it.
