let me start off by saying hello! i am very glad to be here on ICmag. i have been hangin out here for many months now and i figured it was time to share. after all if it were not for sharing i would not have the knowledge now that i am more than happy to pass on to someone with similar interest. i only hope there is interest in this diary.. i love all of the tips and kind words exchanged over our great hobby, for that is what it is all about. i just hope to contribute!
ok i have a lot to share. many back date photos to show and plenty of explaining of the evolution and development of the room/equipment and especially the plants. all in time i will explane in detail(as much as i can remember) how i went from these...

and last but not least...(my favorite) shhhhh dont let the soils hear that hehe! the DWC SS. it is by far the fattest and has this much tric production at day 17 flower. well ahead of the others.

Dimensions- 5'8"x6'6"x8'
lights- 1k watt hps w/ 6' cooltube and bat wing
400w hps remote ballast free hang
ventilation- 2x's 465cfm squirrel type(1 for filter-1 for light)
can50 scrubber
passive intake( filtered)
AC 8000btu portable AC
here is a pic of scrubber mounted up near ceiling on adjustable shelf, ducting cooltubu and if you look light movers( black things on black string) and 1k ballast on back shelf also up high (soon remote)400w bulb hangs to right of bat wing

next post i will get into the soil and nutes and strains and feeding schedual. add more pics. i just wanted to introduce and give preview to future posts. i will try to be caught up in a week so no more back tracking. just in time to see how aero cloner works!!! hehe im way stoked and i need to fire one up. maybe some hash i made tonight!!! hope i get some comments from some friends! be back after break and loading more pics of nutes. puff puff pass!!

Ahhhhh i seee.... looking nice SirSmokealot, growin out the shack and some GK should go really well. I like the setup so far, im looking forward to getting to hear more info and see more pictures. But again it looks dope dude, but i would expect no less from the guy they call the big N. haha

Maj.-you know better than anyone the ups and downs ive experienced along with the recent drama. this little hobby is my break from theworld. ive enjoyed every bit of learning and growing. ok i have a few photos done!! let me load like thirty more and i'll have a ch.1 veg. ready to go complete with feeding regimine for both flower veg of soils and dwc. i have a pic of all nutes to add. for some reason today i was loading pics and it only accepted like 3 out of 10. ill get it figured. HEy MAJ. i am itching to pop that strawberry cough seed. what once was lost now is found and it is burning a hole in my pocket( pray it germs) that was the best cough i ever had my hands on... going to fire up this bad boy later tonight!!! i think with 5 or 6 SS 2GK and 3 memory loss erkel pheno!!! i need to flip that erkel pheno soon it is 15" tall now. goes into a one gal bag tonight if soil is dry enough.

SirSmokeAlot hey can you give me some advice on a portable ac unit?? I need to cool a closet, 5k btu would be adequate but overkill is ok.... does yours have dehumidification? And what about a thermostat? Exhaust? Power consumption???

ok let me put out this blunt... ok thats better. i thought i should start explaining my grow with complete back ground. i'll be quick about it i promise. dont want to bore you guys. here we go.
so i got these sugar shack beans in a batch i picked up. to my surprise there was many seeds. i had been smoking the stuff for a year and never one seed. knowing its potential i kept all viable seeds and returned the bag of shack along with bad remaining seeds for a new one without. wallah shack seeds and everyone is happy. unable to use at time i spread the wealth with those close to me and some far and wide. this december i germed four beans i had. all germed and i began veg. the were in 3x3 containers for 2 weeks. soil was fox farm ocean forest and they love the stuff! plain water. the occasional light seaweed/diamond necture nute feeds began by jan. by then they were in one gal grow bags. on jan. 19 2007 i took these just before transplant into 3 gal trash cans. all are sugar shack one of three that made it to this stage was topped early due to burned top. cfl burnt top when it loosened up at clamp and fell on two SS it claimed one and i managed to save the topped one.



i grew these ladies out under cfl's for 3 months. after two months i added a converted remote ballast 175wmh for a total of seven lights. 3 warm 42w cfl and 3 cool 27w cfl

those two were on3/06 and so was this. clones taken about ten days prior

and again on 3/09










if you look on the shelf next to the bonsai there is a new dwc trial and to the left some grape krush that have seen the end. the containers were not allowing soil to dry and they were getting soggy bottom and to top it off while moving them into better air they took a spill. sort of a domino effect. i managed to drop what i was holding and catch them both. dunno how but i saw it happening and reacted. they still took a nasty jarring and went into shock. the clones were all happy and healthy at this point. couldnt have been happier. high success rate with rooting as you can see i think 22 originally were potted and one went into dwc. and a day or two later i recieved a gift. two Memory Loss clones at same stage of growth to add to baby veg shelf haha. life is great man. happy trees and clones galore. plans were all taking shape more pics....

i spend all this time alone in my closet tending away and i dont get much company to pull me away. i take the occasional smoke break and watch my side by side betas fights. those little guy sure are pretty and super entertaining. they square up all damn day.

3/15 1k watt hps is hummin and i have lined the closet entirely with poly. removed unneeded shelves and clothes. i keep this room spotless now. addition of scrubber also with 465cfm fans for light and scrubber. plan is to veg in here 24/7 for near two weeks. i want that hps happy growth. although the cfls did an amazing job i must say. for the money and cost to opperate. still improving a little all the time one idea at a time.

fans for filter and cooltube remoted into floor space between levels silence at last.scrubber is finally mounted high like me on the adjustable shelf light movers workin. room still needs more though. i want to do solid ducting from filter to fan. the flex ducting is pourous and i fear smell will be drawn through the pinholes. and an ac is necessary so i can seal this room and be stealth. door is still propped open to allow enough cool passive air...

B.Coughin-all of the above mine has temp control, timer,remote control w/ temp display., digital displayon ac, dehumid.,, fan mode, multi speed, remote exaust. ,continuous drain line to maybe a res. or option to use standard drain pan. easy but that requires maitnance. when pan fills ac shuts off til emptied then it auto starts where you had it set. what size is your closet? mine is roughly 6x6 and i have 8000btu. it works great. i will put up pics for you in a day showing all your needs and brand name ect.. i bought it at home depot for $300. as far as power consumption goes i dunno yet. but since the addition of 2 465cfm fans 1k hps, 400w hps, and ac power bill increased 70 dollars this month. bu i had to begin using home ac as well. i dont know how much extra that costs. i figure 50-60 a month for my room on 12/12

Sweet.... I'm thinking about picking one up myself. I am currently running this closet that the door stays open to exchange air. I am going to vent out above the door (install a vent) and route the exhaust from ac and air cooled lights out.... just wondering if you thought it was worth the purchase?

My closet is walk-in, probably 7' x 5' but I only use 30"x65" for flowering.... and that's really only what I need to cool....

Pics would be sweet to see how you've got it set up....

MUSHUPORK- thanks alot man. that is why i post so other beginners might see this and say "wow look what i could do". with the right motivation anything is possible. three months ago i was trying to remember to waterthem on time and then they became a priority...but stick around im about half way caught up to present day, and thanks again.

he he right on buddy your still on line you'll be late lmao, g/j on the description on how you've come to this point. cant remember if ya said it yet but you did read for many moons before you just up and jumped in waist deep lol g/j and keep it up !!

B. COUGHIN-i'll get you those pics tomorrow. i'll include ac specifics and pics, setup of ac and passive intake/exhaust/cooltube. your closet sound how mine was a little over three weeks ago. i also bought a weather station alarm clock. it has a remote sensor that you are supposed to put out side to tell you outer temps. i put it in the room so at any time i want i give the alarm clock a glance and can monitor room temps without opening door and disturbing light or dark. it also has a max min temp alarm. if either of these programmed temps are breached, you are alerted. so far work great together and has battery backup.
