My Little COBxWW Story

Ok so my buddy decides he is going to order seeds from Nirvana and gets me the Cali-o Bud. Well he also gets another friend of ours the White Widow. This kid vegged these things for 2wks and was calling me to take them because he could not handle them anymore, they got to big (lol, Stupid kids growing when they still live at home) He germed 10, I got 6, 1 was female. I kep that WW Fem and crossed it with a male Cali-o to help peserve $90 seeds. I have about 30-40 seeds off the crossed plant and also around 100 Cali-o seeds that I made with my 8 Cali-o plants I sprouted.

Background info:

All organic soil grows for 3yrs now
Self construcred wood grow box 4x2x4
(2) 250w HPS

So I vegged out 10 WWxCOB F1s and got 4 females, 3 look to be 1 type of pheno and the 1 looks a little diff. I picked out 1 of the males that resembled the p1 WW, Short and bushy as hell, and I have kep him alive incase of crossing back. So this leeds to my question. Whould anyone suggest doing any specific kind of crossing to continue the WW traits given my situation? I will post picks soon.

I didnt get to good of a fem to male ratio.. 4 Fem out of 13 seedlings

Alright things are looking great. I have recently passed on a female so now I have 3. I toped them all once around the 7th node. I have used my own style of LST to reach this point. I'm thinking these plants are a bit WW dominant.

But some other leaves look indica.

I switched them over to flower about 4 days now and they are puttin on a heavy bud set. I'm not used to so many calyx, growing so quickly, so soon. So here are some canopy pics of the ladies.(they dont look to happy because they needed some watering)

I hope it turns out to be something good. I have about 50-60 more of this cross as well as about 100 Cali-O. I just have to get thier little problems under control.

And yes that is the Logitech 5.1 with sub. i think its the 530 or 5300 model. I have 2 sets, one for my TV/Xbox 360, and one for my PC. I loved the sound for the price.

Ok here is a little update...

I have found out through the help of the community that I was underfeeding these beautiful ladies. Could you imagine that, someone UNDER feeding. I guess I was to afraid to burn them and also didnt want to over feed in general since I learned I had done so for the last 2 grows. They are not looking to good, but are blowing up in bud production. I will be posting new pics soon.

Nice cross, and thanks for the photos. I have been interested in doing the same thing. I have a Nirvana Cali Orange Bud female, and a Greenhouse White Widow male.

Is there any smell to them yet.

I cant say there is any smell to them yet unless you rub the buds, then its a faint citrisy smell. Heres is a close up pic of one of the plants.

Smell report...

I'm starting to smell them when I am in the box. One that is really looking WW is starting to smell straight like oranges. The other two just smell citrusy.

Day 39 flower and they are really smelling now. I just noticed they had a bad N def and I'm slowly gettin back color in the leaves. This is going to be a bad example of what this strain can do because I now realize I had a N def since going into flower. To late to correct it much now, just have to make the best of what is.

Icky420, too bad about the N def. I can truly sympathize with you. Still, maybe you can post photos anyway. This can be a useful watch-and-learn experience.

When you say you can really smell them now, do you mean that it is just obvious when you open your growroom door, or that the smell is getting over-powering, and could be considered a stealth risk? Is the degree of odor of the C. O. the better of the two? Keep us posted.

I smell them when I open the door to my box, but the room it's in dont really smell yet. I cant really comment on what it smells like yet. Ya know they all smell the same to me at this point in there growth. I can say it REALLY smells like a fresh cut orange. Even the one that looks just like Mommy.(WW)

Well I have given them a little feeding and now they have started to bloom like crazy I'm wondering if they was just stalled before from the abuse, and now they are picking up where they left off? They are 7wks Flowering today, and I'm not to sure what to do because I dont have to much mass right now. I think I will let them go longer, maybe 10-11wks if needed. The trichs arent turning amber yet either, only 1 here and there, but most are just getting cloudy.

I'm too lazy to look up the flower to finish time on those strains, so how long are they supposed to go? Actually, I don't think your photos look all that bad, considering the bit of abuse. I think I would be inclined to let them go full term, that is, get as amber as they can get just to pack on as much mass as possible. However, even if you don't want such couchlike smoke, you still should get a good amout out of the deal. From what you say about the odor, I am feeling more inclined to try those seeds, as I am always on the lookout for low odor strains, and there are far fewer of those than there are of the skunky strains. Keep us updated, please. We are always up for photos, you know. It's just the way we are.

LOL, he couldn't keep them cuz they got too big. I guess he figured out that they can out grow a shoe box with fluor light quickly..Will be interesting to see how these turn out.

If this turn out to be a good cross I think I'm going to donate some to be given away as freebies. I can say they really dont smell..By this time last grow you could smell it at my front door, now yo uhave to be in the box. I dont think this is good but I'm hopeing I have found some low odor kick ass bud. I just gave them a brewed tea of 1tbs Budswell and 1tbp Jam. Bat Guano to 1gal water, bubbled for 24hr untill foaming.

I too am hoping for some kick-ass bud soon, as my Apollo-11 is in it's 5th week of flower. Never did A-11 before so I have no idea what to expect, but I do know what I am hoping for. :yummy:

I'm sure you feel the same, and I'm predicting that you won't be disappointed. Just call the harvest your Christmas present to yourself.
