THSeeds Bubblegum @ day 30

Here are a few shots of THSeeds Original Bubblegum at approximatly day 30 of flowering. They're looking pretty good. However, some of the fan leaves are starting to yellow. Is this normal at this stage? I've grown hydro before and the leaves stayed green pretty much till harvest. However, this is the first time I've really done an all out, organic soil grow.

Oh yea, for referance, this is a 55-60 day strain. I used dark energy, supernova, and supercharger in veg, which is supposed to speed them to harvest by as much as one week sooner. With that in mind, lets say they have three weeks left (55 days). I was thinking about starting the flush now, as I was told a good three week flush is what your looking for when top quality is the concern. Will these plants have enough energy reserves in the leaves and soil to finish off properly, or is there some deficiency I should look into?

NICE!!!

Here is a pic of one of my TH Seeds Bubblegum plants: (50 days)
(Your plants look like they are begging for Nitrogen, just an observation/suggestion)

Ya looking good overall.....some nitrogen deficiencies in there somewhere....

are they all growing out of a single bed? sometimes that can accelerate Nitrogen deficiency because of the intense competition for nutrients in the root zone....

give 'em some N right now but if these pics were at 50 days of flowering i would say
let it ride......i wonder what kind of soil you used to start with?

RE: Nitrogen Deficiency

RE: Nitrogen Deficiency

Give them some Fish Emulsions 5-1-1 and they will green up for ya!!! ;) (Organic is definitely the way to go...)

EDIT: (Feed them the fish emulsions at full strength.)

Good point about the N... so many people fail to properly feed in flower that most would assume lots of yellowing at 30 days might be normal... what I mean to say is that it's so common to see this so people think it's okee dokee...
in reality most strains should remain a nice healthy light to dark green (strain dependant) all the way to 45-55 days if they're really getting what they need in the way of food.
The guys at DNA feed every single watering and flush once a week during flower (in soil)... I was rather shocked when I read that... but based upon the pics I saw it looked like they had it "goin' on".

Every organic soil grow i did i had yellowing starting at 30days. When i switched to Hydro this year i never had a defficiency problem and they stayed "healthy" all the way through. Just my .002. The healthier a plant stays through flower without defficiences the better.

spared no expense on soil. Moonshineman's mix (ie: 1 x light warrior, planting mix, and ocean forest with two bricks coir, a chunky pearlite...also with a few cups peace of mind fruit and flower, and a bit of bone and blood meal for good measure). I'm no joker, they are absolutly NOT in the same containers. I did a flush a week or so ago, and thats when the problem started, so I'm assuming I flushed the nitrogen right out. I've been feeding at 75% budswell, and recently gave 'em magnesium because i thought that could be the issue. I'll hit them up with some fox farm grow big when i get back in town.

Thanks for the info.

in regards to hydro..i've been down that road. In my opinion, its not worth the added hassle for a small scale grow.

and, in conclusion, TH Seeds bubblegum blows the competition out of the water. I've done serious and BOG, and now I'm back to TH...you can't go wrong with their genetics. They are among the finest, if not THE finest breeders out there.

i grow organic and never get yellowing until around day 50, never done hydro yet so i can't compare on that.....i know you definatly can't go wrong with serious seeds bubblegum either....never tried thseeds bubblegum though.

Can't be a PH problem...I'm using RO water PH adjusted to 6.5 as per a calibrated and properly stored hanna digital meter (ie: if anything, the PH is too low).

Re: PH Problem!!!

Re: PH Problem!!!

Did you use dolomite lime or any type of PH buffer in your soil mix??? The PH of the soil might be off; therefore, the plants are locking out the nutrients… Check the PH of the soil. (You might find the root of the problem) :smoke:
