Hades, how bad did you get hit by spider devils, er mites? I just got them myself, and it seems you handled them pretty well by the looks of things...may I ask what you used to fight the little assholes off?

The spider mites came in through a couple of clones that were given to me.... They soon spread to the rest of the plants before i noticed.....

I used treatments of neem oil when i first spotted them, which didnt stop them, but slowed them down. I then purchased a product called, "Bon-neem" and a product called, "Rotenone-Pyrethrin" by Bonide. I treated my plants with this combo for a week, spraying it on and then rinsing it off in an hour..... It really appeared that i won the battle until i observed new eggs on the leaves a few days later.

I was trying to keep it organic, but these resistant little fuckers were not going to go down without a fight.... I went to the hardware store to purchase a HotShot No-Pest Strip. I stopped ventilation and hung it in my grow room for 10 days. That seemed to do the job, but also put some stress on my plants. I then aired out the room for a couple days, bought a 100 pack of triple-threat predators mites and released them on my plants to take out any survivors.

Finally, after the 3 week war with the bitches, its over.... Ive noticed a diminish in bud size, but my plants are looking happy.

Glad to see you won the battle Mr Hades , spidermites are the growers worst pest , in all my years of growing hydro i've NEVER had them[knock on wood]
but it seems like everyone i know and see on these boards who is a soil grower has to deal with them at one time or another , makes me glad i switched to hydro , i'd hate to use poison on my plants , and would like smoking said poison & bug bodies and eggs even less .

glad you killed the little f@ckers , everyone thats dead is truely a victory  .

Peace

The best way to combat spidermites is to:
Get the MOST potent strongest Chili peppers that you can find, (about 5 or 6)
2 cups of water and blend them all up,
Strain the chili water and spry onto the leaves,
Apply the chili water every couple of days fro about a week until the mites are gone.
it works like a charm...

BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO GET THE CHILI SOLUTION INTO YOUR EYES AND WEAR PLASTIC GLOVES OR COVER YOUR HANDS WHEN APPLYING THE CHILI WATER. OTHERWISE IT WILL BURN YOUR HANDS.
