Simple enough quesion...

I never registered at OG, well I did, but deleted myself after a day. Spent a couple years lurking, but saw no reason to get involved until I had something to offer. This place seemed cool from my first day, and I never looked back. One of the first pics I uploaded onto OG before I deleted my account inspired my nick here. Funny, if I hadn't registered here in June my name would be something completely different.

I'm not French... I'm not a Dom... I'm just an old stoner and online... you can call me Maistre... or Mais.

I've used this nickname since about 1994 online. I was a webmaster and found that webmaster was always taken sooooooo... I changed it to webmaistre and it was available. A year or so later I dropped the web part for simplicity sakes and found that it was usually available.

So that outlines the metamorphosis of my nick...

My username is free translate from finnish language and actually dont mean anything, but I think in my mind it represents my attitude to cannabis. I like to smoke, but hate to smoke sometimes too. Growing is fun always.

For my poor english I did not know before that hemp means somekind of industrial variety.

When I registered at OG, It was a hobby of mine to compose classical, baroque styles of music in a program called "Noteworthy Composer". I haven't composed anything new in a while, but I'm still an avid musician. Guitarist, drummer, bass, table, chair, floor - you name it, I'll be trying to make music with it! Involuntarily most times :smile:

I cook for a living. Have been a chef for many years. Started cooking professionally 20 years ago. Wanted something that reflected my profession, and love for cooking. didn't want to CHEF in the name cuz sometimes chefs can sound a little too full o themselves. Cook is a more humble term. and as far as the cooked part...getting fried, getting baked, getting toasted are all methods of cooking. :canabis: And I dig the cc alliterration thing.

Hey Blue- stay away from the nitrous and the Pabst Blue Ribbon! :biglaugh:

My favorite strain so far is northernlights and it was also the first strain I grew. I always have room for it in my garden. I accidentally typed an extra s when regestering so I left it.

When I first went online I frequented a few porn sites but then I graduated to Politics and finally Pot. I found a grow forum at BCSC and I made up the name BushyOlderGrower because this was true pretty much. I wanted to teach growing and I wrote my first set of Bushy's Tips. The guys there were amused but tolerated me and then Overgrow was born and we knew it at the forum because one of us had made it.

At OG I was one of the first to join as it was the 2nd day of operation and the site worked so well right off the bat. I never really planned anything but had a lot of time on my hands just growing pot for a living then. Now my book is almost due to be released and it is finished. I have a large online presence and it can be market world wide. The name has morphed into BushyOldGrower because I was older but now I am just old. :D BOG

Well, mine's a little odd i guess considering it's the name of a childrens toy/cartoon/books etc... I used to go by a different name on OG some time ago but hardly ever posted, i decided to change my nick and become more active, my partner-of-the-time's sister and niece were visiting and they'd put a childrens tv channel on for her, the theme tune to the Noddy animated series was annoyingly catchy after having to listen to it a few times and as i was deciding what to call myself, i heard 'noddyyyy...' on that damn tune again, so typed it in :rolleyes:
