Few problems for a first timer

This is my first 150w grow and this far I cant have any too serious complaints. Im using a mixture of peat, pearlite, vermiculite, lime, bone/blood meal in many various mixtures as I repotted (Im still learning). Watering has been right on, checking the soil for dryness, usually every few days. I either feed with just plain water or 1tbs mollasses with a little bit of meal and a tbs of fish emulsions.

Three of the 4 plants are started to have severely curled leaves at the top only, severe claw. Other than a deficiency the only reason I can conclude is the light is about 50% as tall as the plant and since they arent getting much light maybe they are just staying small?

Second problem is 1 plant has very yellow tips of the fan leaves, mostly at the top. While leaves next to the stem and lower are extremely green.

Any ideas? :joint:

If you got to put together a mixture of nutes, why not just use Miracle Grow..I think you have a serious Nitrogen deficiancy situation...but use the above web site for trouble shooting..lots of infomation in them there hills....smile

Too much nitrogen. Be careful using urea or ammonia nitrogen rather than nitrate nitrogen because this can be toxic to plants.

Ok thanks guys! Im going to use plain water until they noticeably improve. By the way the only N they were getting would be from the meals and the fish emulsions I think....Must have used too much meals in the mix.

My Haze Special plant shows exactly the same. Could it be a lack of light? Mine is far from the light btw

I have a DJ Short Blueberry that has leaves curl just like that naturally. Could be a heat issue and the first pic looks like you might need more nitrogen.

I use GH nutes in soil applications, and if you mix it according to directions you will have the perfect mix everytime. The only thing I've noticed, is if you have a variety of Cannabis that feeds heavily, you have to up the nitrogen quite a bit. I think I have some "curled leaves" in my gallery from perfectly healthy plants.

Good luck.

Update:

Ive been giving all plants only straight tap water, no mollasses, no feedings, nothing. The one with yellow on the leaves seems to be getting less yellow, but more green overall. In fact 3 of the 4 plants have continued to get more green and waxy looking. They are still growing and trichomes are visible now.

Look like they're recovering or getting worse?

Thanks!
