how to tie down a bubbling tube

this may seem kinda silly but i can never get the stupid tube in my bucket to stay underwater. i always tape the tubes to the side(i have 3) but of course with the water vapors the tape comes off. once the tape loosens the tube flips up and out of the water. pisses me off.

i dont want to put the tube on the bottom cuase itll probably get clogged. so how do u suggest i suspend the tube so it actually stays underwater for 2 days. if you have any ideas i would appreciate it.

I sometimes use a fishing weight. The prymid ones used for salt water fishing. You can get them at Wallyworld for about 2.00

Tie the weight just like you would to fish.......use a little line about half the length of your bucket, tie to the weight then to the tube.

works great.

I use an oversized nut or washer on the tube then plug it onto the stone.

Maybe I am being over cautious but I wouldn't use a lead fishing weight. Not with something that I intended to consume...

They havent used lead in many years where I'm at. I think they are illegal now any ways.

Yep. I use a couple of 1/4 inch fender washers.
