TANG????

I have been blessed with the passing down of a few mothers from a Buddys Buddys Buddys Friend....The thing is the ORIGINAL OWNER claims that one strain is called "TANG". I've never heard of this strain before and was wondering if anyone here has???
I told them it was going to be cloned and then put outside to finish off....THEY DONT KNOW I GROW INDOOR HEHE!! Thanks for any help!

The other strains were

1. AK-47...a favorite of mine
2. Swiss Miss x Cyber Crystal
3. Swiss Miss x Skunk #1
4. FLO
5. Swiss Miss
6 TANG ???
ANY THOUGHTS ON THE Swiss CROSSES????

"tang" is short for "tangerine"

I'm from Alaska, and before I even knew what MTF was (matanuska thunderfuck) I only knew it as "Tang".

"Tang" is what MANY Alaskans refer to MTF as....and this is due to the Tangering taste/flavor AFTER a good cure.

I'm sure there are other Tang type strains out there, but MTF I'm sure is the #1.

I'd def. grow it out....if its close to 100% sativa then there is a good chance that u might actually have MTF on your hands...and since your growing clones from a mother that is an even better sign....show me some pics as I can point out Thunderfuck a mile away.

I'd be real interested in hearing about other possible tangerine strains if anyone knows of any more.

My MTF cut has the "red grape" aspect real strong until it has cured....and then the Tangerine comes out, and its def. a STRONG, diesel like, citrus/tangerine madness.

could also be the cali-O clone which some have reported to taste like tang (the drink) or if we are just shortening names tangerine haze. peace

there is a clone that was called the tang due to its intense orange scent and flavor like the drink. this one was from the pnw area.

hey does the cali-o have any haze-like aspects to it? incensy/spicy in any way? aroma, taste, aftertaste, burn, etc... thanks, cuz if it does, it just may be the strain we were gettin uptown in the 90s which was absolute crack on a stick. i wish i knew what it was these dudes were growing! they always have the best! :biglaugh:

where would one find a solid cali-o? :chin:

i rememember TANG (if it is pronounced Tange) if the cut came from alaska somewhere down the line what you have is matanuska thunder fuck crossed with an indica strain from the interior called golf ball. this was one of the three most coveted popular strains in alaska in the 80s and 90s. you WILL enjoy if this is indeed what it is. its also a strain you will want to keep till the end. i just saw the dates on the thread, any chance you are still around and can give us an update?
