red trichs?

one of my white widows has tons of red trichs...now when i say red... i dont mean amber... i mean bright red

im guessing this is a genetic trait?? i wonder if i could bring the color out more with colder temps? only reason i think its genetic, my 2 other white widows dont have any red trichs at all or at least that i have seen


so i guess anyone else can add on to the red trich thread with pics... here are my pics... im still learning how to use my camera (got it yesterday) and these were taken through a microscope obviously

i know underground man has pics of some red trichs and ive seen others with pics of a red trich here and there... but my plant has tons of em... thought it was odd...

anyways... heres the pics

Thats pimp I have seen some pics with purple trichs as well but reds ones are just as nice and unique. that looks really nice they almost look like blood drops. Enjoy

oh and here is the test bud that those macros were from... i didnt notice it before because of the hps... but the red is visible to the naked eye

i think im going to have to attempt to revegg this one and keep a mother plant (i didnt take any cuttings :pointlaug )

My only experience with oddly colored trichs was with VBS. Two phenos has purple colored trichs. The smoke was nothing exciting, it was just genetics and cosmetics, i believe. while it may be a good idea to reveg, I would judge by the test sample, not by the trich color.

agreed... i did sample the bud too (way too early i know i know im too eager... first grow!)... quick dry in the microwave (yeah horrible i know) and ofcourse it tasted like shit... chlorophyll... but the high was very powerful... and im sure it will get better because shes only 43 days old now

either way u are right... no sense wasting time revegging just for some red trichs if the smoke isnt great... but then again... that red hash would be cool... and i just ordered my bubble bags over the weekend

what do different colored tich's mean besides they look different? if i grow a plant and the trichs are blue does that mean its amazingly denk? or could it be shitty?

i have no idea ... i doubt the color has anything to do with the taste or the potency... but it sure does look unique

Is your plant catholic? I always hear about catholics bleeding unexplainably lmao. What's that called???? It would be a cool new strain and you could name it that... wish I could think of the word. I'm not stoned enough.
